Titan V caused issues with PCIe 3.0 in SLi or Blink ... What ever it was called .

3090 will most likely be the issue and 3080 coming close ! Have to wait for reviews with ram and core overclock to see . Have a feeling ram will be pushing from 19 to 19.7gbps
 
Don’t let people fear you into pcie 4.0 just wait for benchmarks. I highly doubt it will make a difference anyway but we only need to wait 16 days for nda to lift.

3080 no, 3090 yes but wouldn't be talking hugely . That simple . 3080S then maybe

To be honest a £100 board with £1400 GPU . Seems like Amp may return to Maxwell and allow good voltage under water... Here's hoping . Pascal really killed overclocking fun

you can overclock, but pascal limited volts and such . 980Ti Xtreme and HOF, you could slap a waterblock and get big gains. Overclocking my 2080 aorus just holds boost at a constant .

3080 and 3070 will sell like hot cakes. OP, best get yoour finger on the trigger when pre-orders jump. just look at history of pascal and turing launches ... once first batch of pre-orders went, prices jumped!
 
I was thinking the same thing. Surely if you have a new 3080 you would look at PCIe 4.0 for fast SSD

The PS5 is getting crazy speeds and a OK ish GPU, its a nice balanced machine. I'm thinking PC upgrade now and not a PS5 but would like the extra fast SSD PCIe4 gives
