NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

I'm sure I'll be gimping the 3080 am going to buy by putting it in a B450 with a Ryzen 3600 but I plan on upgrading to a new Ryzen, when they are released, or buy a used 3900X and a new Mobo.

So guys in the official OCUK 3000 series post by gibbo stated that the preorders go live on these dates and times

- 3090 September 24th 2pm
- 3080 September 17th 2pm

Is this the same for founders?

Dates? Yes. Time? *shrugs*

Go to the nVidia store and do the "Notify me".

He actually just said it supports 10-bit HDR but did not confirm 444 support at 4k 120hz as the questioner asked.

Now perhaps 10-bit HDR implicitly means 444 but if, like me, you are using this point as a basis for your purchasing decision it's best just to wait for reviewers to confirm it.

Now confirmed with that detail:

The GeForce RTX 30 series will support the following over HDMI: RGB/YUV444: 8, 10, 12bpc YUV422/420: 8, 10, 12bpc Same formats are supported on HDMI 2.1 Fixed Rate Link.

Except its not and is happening again. The 3080 FE is £649 and the AIB retail price is meant to be $100 less so £570 upwards. Where are the £570 3080s? And Asus again coming in at £800 for a £570 card. Things like this makes consumers feel like they are being overcharged.

IMO there should be a range of cards from £570 to £700 max for the 3080. But supply and demand.
I'd buy from the Nvidia store. Why pay the ASUS tax for appalling RMA. Good coolers yes, worth
it, no.

Same boat here with the 3080 but i am on a b350 with 3700x will be interesting just what the difference is re this direct IO stuff is pcie 3 vs 4

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but it looks like the usb-c connector has been dropped on the new cards.

I don't think video out throught the USB has ever worked, but having a 10 gbps capable data port does a lot to add to a board's IO capabilities. Especially older boards.
