NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

OCUK only have the one zotac shown at the moment but this one is the looker:

Will probably be more than £650.
That's the AMP Extreme which Zotac have said will be released in October. Best looking card IMO.

I did a psu calculator with my 3700x 2 nvke drives, 2 3.5inch hdd, 6 fans, keyboard, mouse and external drive. And I have 110w headroom even at max load.

My psu is 650w 80rated gold. With probably 17 hours gaming use in a year. Unless yours is old I wouldn't worry.

I even ordered a psu then cancelled this morning with confidence.

Fingers crossed, my psu is about 5 year old but still a 80+ gold

im going for 3080

Zotac card or FE card, prefer the FE design but also prefer the 5 year warranty on the Zotac

Just hope my 650w evga supernova 2 will run it with a 3700x
I have a similar PSU. Seasonic X650 gold rated. Decided not to risk it. Then again I have paired it with an overclocked 9900k

Does anyone know the names of the reviewers who were featured in Nvidia's launch when they witnessed the 3090 at 8k? Ive been trying to find them on youtube but cant.

No but of course it wasn't native 8K but rather a lower resolution, likely 4K, upscale to 8K via DLSS 2.0. Sure this can sometimes offer comparable or even superior quality to native rendering but it's disingenuous in the extreme (of NVidia I mean, not you :) ) to claim "8K 60fps" gaming.

Do reviewers get their cards early so they can publish reviews and benches on the day of launch?

I hope they publish *before* the day of launch. I'm not looking to spend $700-$800 dollars on scarce cherry-picked-by-Nvidia benchmarks. (Even if the cherry-picked stuff looks really great)

I may have to suffer through the first wave of low/no stock, and jump in once things settle down.

This would also give AMD more time to make their case.

What would happen if i tried it tho ? would it damage anything will it just under volt ?
If the power draw exceeds the PSU limit, running something like Cyberpunk 2077 maxed out, you could potentially damage your PC components. Not saying it will happen. It could and I just don’t want to risk it hence I ordered a 1000w Corsair PSU 2 days ago.

Two of the guys are from the Kinda funny channel (and kinda funny games) - the one who was playing with a controller and 1 other.
