NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Yeah let's hope.

If the 3070 beats it and we start seeing 2080Ti cards going for sub £350 then i would pick one up for my nephew to go along with his 2080Ti he has now.

OTH,if the RTX2080TI still beats it,those people ditching the RTX2080TI cards for a few £100,might regret it!!

So pc part picker with my full set up including a 2080ti msi triple fan is rated at 464W the msi is rated at 250.

So if the 3080 is 320 that would put my pc wattage at 534w so that leaves me at least 100w head room

Just ran mine through that too. Coming out at 394W, currently have a 2070 super.

Using a EVGA supernova P2 650w.

Hmm...

ASUS always charges over the top for GPUs though, it's almost comical the way they have managed to parlay their rep as the best motherboard producer to charge a name premium on GPUs that are usually not even top tier lol.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least if the cooler for the strix just has a new shroud and the actual underlying heatsink is the same as it's been for years now :p

Samsung yield rates aren't that good right now.
I will keep my eye out on defect rates of 3000 series. Anyone remember the release defect rate of 2080ti? Wasn't return rate in the double digits? Or 50% the 1st month or something like that?
