Anyone recommend this

Yes, it is a great PSU.

Its been awhile since I upgrade but I'm keen on either a 3070 or 3080. At the moment I have a Vega 56 and LG 34" 144hz ultrawide that supports Freesync.
I'm a little out of the loop on how drivers/panels have progressed - am I going to get screen tearing again by moving to Nvidia or do they support freesync now? Or are variable refesh rates and anti-screen tearing tech things at driver level rather than hardware now?
Basically, I like the smooth frame rates I get even when I'm not hitting 144fps on my AMD card. If moving back to Nvidia means I lose this, I'd rather wait for big Navi, if not I'll jump ship to the 3000 series.
Any advice is appreciated :D thank you!

I can get the RM850x for £115 which still seems pretty high to me.

Ive currently got a Evga 650w g2 and its been stella but with the 3080 recommending 750w psu i might be better off just upgrading, just incase my 650w doesnt want to play nice.

£115 cheap as i said at the moment they is shortage and prices are slightly higher than "normal"

Can anyone confirm if the members market is available for only certain people?

I have a spare 750watt EVGA G3 I'm looking to sell. No selling outside the MM - EVH

Not concrete but seems to be the day before so we can all scramble on the 17th lol

That sucks, very little time to actually do research and make a decision.

Or you know, I can just wait for a few days. But my addiction is just too tough to overcome :D

Is it just me that's getting a bit annoyed with NVidia promoting 4K and 8K performance figures when they're actually nothing of the sort and just lower resolutions upscaled via DLSS?

Yes I know that DLSS can often provide similar or even slightly superior results to native but not in all cases and it's not a general panacea.

Just feels like a marketing stunt and rather disingenuous.
I am more impressed with the word "Panacea". I had to google it and I will use it at work to look clever :D

It's like the Free Masons on here. Irony is, I've spent about 2 grand on here over the last few years, so they're happy to accept my cash......but have strict criteria on posting/MM.

The members market is a community market, it's not an official OCUK service. The post count is to weed out the people that just want to pull a few scams and vanish. Sure you could still get 1000 posts and scam someone, but it's a lot less likely.

I know and if supply is dry then we gonna have to wait or just rush and buy its all aploy as we have no pre-orders, i keep thinking i need to wait for amd to show there arm but i really dont want to wait till nov/dec for a card as i have a few games to play now one mainly being control which my 1070 struggles with and horizon zero dawn.

OcUK doesn't take a cut of MM sales. You're always free to sell it on platforms that take you in a heartbeat (and charge a commission). It took me over 10 years to get to 1000 posts, but it's okay because I'm not entitled to MM just because I buy things from OcUK.

I've been on here since 2007 and only got 300+ posts.
I was on earlier but didn't register.
Looks like i need to spam some guff to get into the MM section.
Like you I've spent quite a few spondoolies with oc over the years, in person and online. Never mind I'll get to 1000 posts eventually.

Has to be a point where old enough accounts can get access to the MM aswell. Or at least reduce the post count required! nearly 10 years myself... I just don't post a lot on forums/online in general!

14th for FE and 17th for AIB

Thanks both.

It took me 10 years, so I understand. But you should consider that MM competes with the main website (OcUK doesn't take a cut out of MM), and they're doing it for the forum members. High bars to entry make perfect sense. They don't want MM flooded with sellers looking to take a profit/undercut OcUK.
