NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

No way, he just used that misleading line in the video to boost 3090 sales.

If he had said there will be a Titan later then some people would forget the 3090 and wait for it.

Didnt you say also (somewhere) that the whole die still isn't being used on the 3090? May have read/understood that wrong.

Has this been shared yet ? Now all we need is Goldilocks, we've got the three bears.

(sorry just seen it has 3 pages back)

Why do they have no centre sticker looks like the 3070 has had it ripped off ?

GeForce RTX 30 graphics card sizes:

  • RTX 3090: 13.8 cm (W) x 31.3 cm (L), 3-slot
  • RTX 3080; 11.cm (W) x 28.5 cm (L), 2-slot
  • RTX 3070: 11.2 cm (W) x 24.2 cm (L), 2-slot

A small part of the die on the GA102 is unused so this leaves room for a higher card than the 3090. What that will be who knows, it could be the 3090 Ti, 3090 Super or even the Titan.

Do you know if there is a GA100 die?
I've read about it, but they are not clear if NV will use it.

Hi all, I'm starting to get tempted on pulling the trigger on a second-hand 2080Ti instead of waiting for a 3070.

So I'm asking the more informed here, what are going to be the differences between the two?

If I read about Ampere, its obviously the generational performance increase is a big deal, but if performance is 'equal' between a Turing and Ampere card... what features are missing? Any next-gen stuff (I won't need HDMI 2.1) or should they be the same?

(I have an ITX case so will be needing FE versions of either)

I could do a RTX thread as well. I would start it with plenty of free space in the OPs, if people could then post links that they want I could sort them into some order in the OPs.
Yea, that sounds good, do it when you get the time and ping me once you do please :D
