AMD confirms Radeon 6000 reveal and Zen 3 launch for October

Release date October 28, That's perfect timing to do battle Vs 3070.

And what a great battle it will be vs 3070..and 3070ti.

Big Navi might not be that big.....

That's provided it's not a paper launch. Which it probably will... "Available in December"..I can see it coming

I get the feeling these are some way off yet. The 28th Oct is the reveal, but historically, AMD are a bit slow with the physical launch. I would imagine they are aiming to hit the Christmas market but can they do it in volume?

Ray tracing is a big concern. We all know how that went for nVidia, but now they have a two year lead with hardware, drivers and game devs. Can AMD really catch up or outperform in a single generation?

We know trollo , anyone with tiny bit of historical knowledge knows that AMD and paper launch go and in hand.

Available in 2021 as soon as we finish ******* about with the consoles....

If they havent released official and meaningful benchies before the 17th, it 10000% means they cant box at the top level. otherwise why would they let hundreds of thousands of gamers buy 30xx cards (and therefore NOT buy Radeon 6000).

I don't understand why they're waiting an entire month after that Nvidia cards are launched just to release a keynote.
Maybe because they have allocated most of their 7nm production to Zen 3 (much more profitable) and decided to give their driver team more time to allow for a smooth launch this time.

This would be a very poor decision - as someone posted above, much like a lot of people, I'm hoping to upgrade for Cyberpunk 2077 - I'll be grabbing whatever is available then, so unless there are supply issues with the Nvidia cards (which to be fair sounds like a possibility), if the 6000 series isn't out yet I'll be picking up a 3070 or 3080 (not sure which yet).

Currently have a 5700XT and while the performance isn't bad for what I paid for it, I've had a lot of driver issues and often wish I'd paid the ~£150 extra for a 2070 super instead.

Complete nonsense, and unrelated to your original post. If the product and pricing is good enough, it won't matter. Intel had ten years of "mind share" prior to Ryzen's launch, and yet it succeeded because it was a great product at a good price. A month isn't going to matter.

Intel was stagnating for years with their pricing & performance until AMD came out with something sensible. AMD is constantly playing catchup with their GPUs and this will be no different.

Because if they can't match 3070 what would they talk about? If they wait till Nvidia have released the 3060 and 3050 then they will talk perf?

Apart from all the time AMD was on top in the GPU space. But we will just gloss over that?

So now you are saying they can only match a 3050 - are you ok?

You have not even seen the reviews for an RTX3070 which was launched last week and will be only available at some point next month.
