Is NVIDIA sabotaging their own Ampere launch?

3080 is at a decent price point imo, doubling the VRAM to 20gb would (I assume) come with a similar increase in cost, as a 1440p 144hz gamer I'd go with 10gb as that's more than enough for 1440p for years to come.
 
Let’s not forget production lines for the 20 series stopped months ago! 30s have been on the factory lines for months more than any card ever has! The fact 3090 is aimed at the high end market tells you they want to sell 1000s of units, I think there are enough to go around , the real problem is the delays with goods being shipped in from abroad at the moment , would be nice if OC told us how many they have available ?

gibbo has already said the NDA forbids him from saying how much stock he has or hasn't.

Which can either mean Nivida doesnt want you to know that Gobbo has 750,000 cards in stock so there is no hurry or urgency in us buying one and we can all take our time for weeks and read reviews or even wait for AMD

Or Gibbo only has 100 cards and Nvidia doesnt want us to know they are like hen's teeth and that there wont be any serious numbers until January.
 
They'll do better cards like the supers if AMD come out with something better no doubt. Always something better/newer around the corner just got to decide on the right time to jump.
