NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

You should always post to the address that eBay / Paypal tells you to as a way of backing yourself up. Although that being said, as someone that has used eBay for years, I can tell you with some certainty that they will always side with the buyer in any kind of dispute, so it's not hard to scam someone even if they weren't being dodgy.

But what I am saying mate is that how can I send to an address (even if confirmed by PayPal) that doesn’t exist? Not sure how delivery companies work, but do they go by postcode or first line of address? They both exist but not side by side. Example they wanted delivery to 505 Address A, AA1 2BB, but postcode AA! 2BB links to another address totally, however both addresses exist

Anyone knows what model is that Galax 3080 trislot?
Imho it's one of the coolest looking so far.
Yet nowhere to be found (on their site).

Isn'r Galax the same as KFA ? I am sure I previously had something (a 970 I think) that I bought as a KFA come branded as Galax.

That is correct.
Since Galax doesn't sell in Europe but through the KFA2 brand.
However that tri slot (bracket) model isn't on any of their sites yet.

Yup i confirm if anyone ends up screwed over its the SELLER ALWAYS. Been there got scammed myself....

Guys, what exactly would you do in this situation, or does anyone have any ideas?

I sold my 2070 super a few days ago. Buyer paid and instantly sent me a message asking me to post to alternative address (dodgy - it also had two street names). I reply saying I can only send to address on PayPal and he says no problem I understand. I left it a couple of days waiting for an email from PayPal or eBay advising it’s a dodgy transaction. This morning as no email arrived I withdrew the money and go to post it. When searching for the postcode it comes up with a totally different address. I message him and he says he asked for the alternative address as that’s his dads and he said it’s fine to post to the address on PayPal. I said I can’t as that postcode links to an address that it totally different. He half implied he used to live at the old address but not now. He has asked me to refund and he remakes the payment using the new address after he updates his PayPal.

is this some sort of elaborate scam I am now aware of? I hate ebay.

If you post it to another address you are screwed. Paypal will just tell you that you shouldn't have done that and you will be out of pocket.

I had this issue before with a phone, and I refused to send it at first. Eventually the buyer confirmed that it was OK to send to the address given on Ebay. I send it RMSD.

About two months later he tells me it didn't arrive. So I just posted the tracking number on the dispute which showed delivered and signed for, case closed.

However, I was also told that had I sent it where he had asked me to? I would have been screwed.

If it doesn't smell right just cancel the transaction and relist it dude. Ebay is rife with scammers so you need to be diligent.

Edit. Another critical tip. NEVER EVER throw away the receipts from the post office with the tracking number and addy you sent to.

I would bet that is what my "buyer" hoped for. That I had tossed it, and had no proof I sent it. I always write on the back of them what they were for (so in your case 2070 Ebay) and file them away safely.

Sage advice. Also, always use tracked delivery for anything even remotely valuable.

Yes but the address on PayPal - the house number and street name do not match up with the postcode. So when I search for his postcode it brings up a totally different address.

so if I post to the confirmed address on PayPal it doesn’t exist!

Then simply put don't send it fella. Like I say, if it doesn't smell right then walk away. Cancel the transaction, refund his payment and relist it.

cheers mate. I’ve refunded him but the cancellation is ‘pending’ as PayPal are taking it from my bank account rather than my card.

he says he has now updated his address in PayPal and eBay and he wants me to repost for same price so he can buy it again. Really not sure what to do. Feel £350 was a decent price

Just cancel the transaction on eBay and say the card is damaged...or something...

Refund

Never post to an address that’s not confirmed on PayPal...Never...Also add the tracking info whenever you do post something and this will appear in eBay and PayPal...

it was a confirmed address mate. Problem was the postcode and first line of address didn’t match. So when creating the label online it took me to a totally different address (as you search using postcode).

You haven’t posted have you ?

If not just sack it off...sell it locally or something...or on another forum...

Main points:

*Nvidia artificially limiting stock of founders cards to push up prices of AIB cards

*Founders coolers not cheap (as said before) but are good

*AMD will be bit slower or bit faster while likely not having as good RT performance, but less power usage.

MLID is full of crap. He literally gets his info from WCCFTECH and other YouTubers, and tries to make out he has insider knowledge.

Annoying most don't say how long the card is.

most cards will be over 300mm that is for certain if using the air coolers, if you opt for watercooling most cards will be below 290mm and if you buy a card fromm nvidia and watercool it reports say below 250mm total length from ek's new fe block
