It's either this

Or this.

You know in Space Jam where the aliens suck out all the talent from the basketballers through the basketball? I feel the same has happened to Vettel. It's like he's just forgot how to drive

It was 11-9 in qualifying to Leclerc last season, but Vettel's average qualifying position was actually higher. In races it was 10-7 to Vettel, but Leclerc's average position was higher hence beating Vettel by some 24 point or similar in the Championship. Definitely something amiss.

How many Poles for Mercedes does Hamilton have?

Hamilton's superpower is that he always delivers when it counts. How many times do we see Bottas (and in previous years the Ferraris) faster during free practice, only for Hamilton to mug everyone in Q3?
What's more is that he does this weekend in and out and I still fall for the "Oh it's P2 and he seems down on Bottas". I don't know if it's because I want a competitive season or I keep underestimating him (lol)

The Race To Perfection is looking like an epic series. Episode 1 is 90 minutes long...

I still miss when BBC had the F1 rights and Sky probably have done more harm than good in the UK for allowing sports to grow... But they do make some absolutely fantastic F1 content at times

Exciting F2 race; no points for Ilott, Shwartzman or Zhou; Schumacher leads the championship.
Dan Ticktum is a moaning ***** though

Pointer for the F1 tomorrow though; looks hard to get cars off the track so its very likely we'll see a safety car; especially with all that gravel

Mick Schumacher takes the lead of the F2 championship after another chaotic and entertaining F2 race. Stunning win for Mazepin.

Ticktum having another stroppy poos.

So Vettel narrowly defeated a rookie who was only in his first F1 season (familiarising himself with the car, learning the circuits and finding setups etc) using a car that he has supposedly spent years developing to his own preference..

This season bar a couple of races Leclerc's pace has been consistently top six in a car we're lead to believe is absolutely pants, whilst Vettel has struggled to get into the top ten most of the time. Leclerc must be either driving the wheels off of it or it's simply not as bad as we're lead to believe. I know they're down on speed which is clear at circuits like Monza but you don't keep finishing inside the top six in a bad car.

Huh? It was Leclerc's second season. Just like Max moving to Redbull. So he had all preseason to 'familiarise' himself with the car. Not that it's really thing these days with the sims. Look how Hulk jumped into the RP and was immediately fast.

Leclerc is coping well with the poor car this year. I don't Vettel sudden got slow though, which is why I think there is something else is possibly at play too, perhaps in terms of development updates etc... that one is getting over the other. Who knows.

I think Ferrari would have been better off letting Vettel go and keeping Kimi, if their intention was to develop Leclerc, as Vettel's antics cost them points last year.

Incredible! It was only last weekend Schumacher was getting criticized for not being top.

It wasn't last weekend, it was rather earlier in the season. But, yeah, I've changed my opinion on Mick, after a solidly "meh" start to the season. He's really come into his own.

Certainly was the day before the feature race last weekend which he won (I remember this as it was highly amusing).

I do agree he's got better throughout the season. Similar to his F3 title season.

I can't find what you are referring to with search? The discussion I remember was at the British GP. Are you sure the discussion you are referring was here, on this forum?

I think Mick will need a 2nd season in F2, unless he wins the championship. So many good drivers coming through it would be criminal if he got the nod above others that (until today) have been much more consistent.

Yup, a safety car seems very likely. Could mix it up. I suspect the front runners will stay out as long as possible.

This is his second season. He came 12th in his first season. It's the first season for Schwartzman and Tsunoda.
