I wonder if arrogant Sony will make a comeback after dominating this generation. $599!

Do have the next gen titles for launch or shortly after ready? I've not followed the games on PS5, but i know XB isn't whatsoever.
If so, i guess they have that advantage. But hard to not notice a powerful sub £500 console.

Cost
Simplicity
Exclusives
Friends (obviously this is subjective but my, for example, friends only play on X1)
UHD drive? Does one exist for PC yet?

I know you've said friends but maybe also 'Sociable' could be added to list - it's certainly a lot easier (I know it's possible with PC) to get friends/family gathered around the main TV for games. I have 4 boys and although we do a bit together on PC, the majority of shared experience is on the consoles in the lounge.

Simplicity that you listed is definitely a biggie for me too. Decided to load a game last night on PC that I hadn't played in a while. I finally got to play it after about 10-15mins of sodding around with settings / restarting PC, etc!

Ok deal. What if we get one or the other though? Half a hat?
I'm a man of my word. If we don't get both pricing and availability information, I will eat my hat.

PS This is my hat.

Will definitely get it but won't be for a year or so. Will first wait and see what the heavy hitters announce and when that'll be out for release. Only thing that looks interesting to me is Valhalla and I have no issues playing that on PS4 Pro. Graphics have been pretty enough for me for years now anyway.

I think Boxing day 2021 would be a decent time

My thinking is £399 digital £499 optical. Anything more I don't think they'll get away with.

Leaning towards Series X myself but will see what happens on Weds.

I reckon they will want to come in at no more than 450, particularly with how easy All Access is going to make getting a SX.

If they announce 500+ I think a lot of people will be out until prices drop.

I can see £499 for disc version and "undercut" with £399 for the digital version.

Same power but no drive and Sony know you are locked into their store so push that discount to undercut the XSX with their digital version.

I honestly can't see them matching the XsX price with the disc version....... Because that would leave them in a quandary with pricing the digital version. They'd need to price the digital far enough below the regular to make it worthwhile, but if they did that then they'd lose a fortune on each one...... And that would require a hell of a tie in rate to make that up through digital sales.

So will they be forced to expand PS Now to mirror something closer to Game Pass? I really cant see them pricing lower than MS especially if they cannot offer something close to it.

PS Now is weird. How long is it even going to be before they have a PS5 title on there to play? MS will have them on day 1.
