Interesting track.

It's either going to be boring with little over taking opportunity or chaos.

Not going to take long for the front runners to catch back markers and then the pack, looks to be little room for error with the gravel and the possibility for the odd high speed off into said gravel.

Hopefully it's an decent race.

This is his second season. He came 12th in his first season. It's the first season for Schwartzman and Tsunoda.

This is correct. That's why Gasly did super formula before getting a Toro Rosso seat.

I was willing to give him a break for taking time to get into form after a year out, but he seems to be simply another midfielder. Solidly outclassed by a good driver like Ricciardo.

He does come across as a massive knob.

Then again, that's not helped by him overtaking several cars while under a safety car and deliberately crashing into another driver in 2015.

That earned him a well deserved 2 year ban from all motorsport, 1 of which was a suspended.

It's worth bearing in mind though that Dani Ric is a top tier driver and was pretty much on par with Max. His 8 DNFs in 2018 compared to 4 for Max skew the stats in Max's favour somewhat. Ricciardo beat him in the 17 races they had together in 2016, and in 2017. Where Max excelled was qualifying, usually getting a position or two higher up the grid giving him better race strategies. Though Dani Ric was able to score to poles where Max wasn't.
