OcUK Ampere RTX3000 series review thread

Still on the fence having watched the reviews. I think the question I need to ask my self is, do I need the 3080 given that my 1080Ti is still doing enough...

Have you seen any benchmarks for 3440x1440? I feel like we're a neglected bunch! I guess it's easy enough work it out from the 4K benches but still.

Not yet, Joker said he was gona some UW, so im gona see if his reviews up yet.

EDIT: Its up :)

EDIT: His UW benchmarks coming in a few days :p

Let me try and persuade you :p

Your 1080Ti won't being doing "enough" forever.
The 3080 will likely increase in price for a while before decreasing
MOAR FPS
Errr, 3080 = (1080Ti + 2000) - Ti
Shiny things

The teardown on igors lab looked interesting, seems it has some of those really fragile ribbon cables to disconnect.

Much better performance than I was expecting and very impressive. Not a bad price per performance either. 25% faster than my 2080Ti and a greedy bitch when it comes to power but that has never bothered me. I will hold out for the 3090/3080Ti though, as my wallet says "no".

The 3090 is going to be interesting as I think it will be 20% faster than the 3080 @2160p.

I need a new monitor.:D

Looks to be quite a big jump over a 1080 Ti and I might buy one, but I'm not desprate so if it's not readily avaiable during the launch week then I'm happy to wait.

Meh performance gains compared to NV's marketing claims.

Less -

https://youtu.be/dVwM7o3K0HI?t=331 ; caveat - depends on the title, but tis 50% or less

Cheers for the video, for the type of games im intersted in buying like RDR2 and Horizons its around 65-80% faster than a 2080. I have a 1080Ti so tempting but still not sure as the only game im struggling with at the moment is a modded GTA5.

How my my 3770K @ 4.5Ghz will affect that im not sure but seems to be doing fine so far.
