What PC games are you playing?

Cool. Good to hear it keeps up its momentum. I haven't had any time to play any more since I posted about it, but keep trying to find a few minutes to get back into it before I forget what's happening.
I'm hoping the studio behind it do more of these adventure games with RPG elements. Haven't enjoyed an adventure game this much in years

I just did Hitman 2 - really enjoyed it. The depth of the levels are amazing, quite a lot of possibilities. Not done any of the DLC missions - are they a continuation of the main story?

BTW game looks stunning in HDR on a 4k HDR1000 monitor. First game I played on it since I picked it up on the members market.

The Painscreek killings

http://painscreekkillings.com/

It's a detective style walking simulator, explore an abandoned village to solve a murder and other dark goings on. Part escape room part interactive fiction, you piece together the lives of those who lived in the village through diary entries and documents you find. It seems simple on the surface, who killed the mayors wife, but you uncover so much more. The game recommends you take your own notes but you are also armed with an in game digital camera to photograph stuff (which you need to do a lot to keep track). Its an indie game, the graphics are basic, it's not that slick in its presentation, but it does draw you in. I've found myself thinking about it when not playing the game and planning my next places to search and peoples motives etc.

I picked up a steam key from a 3rd party site for like £2.50...no regrets.

Been enjoying Crusader Kings 3 but I'm just not able to dedicate the time to it. I can play maybe 5-8 hours a week. This sounds like a lot, but it's way too small for a Paradox grand strategy game.

edit: Thinking of moving onto Wasteland 3

After a few months of struggling to find something i was just about to give up and have a break when i stumbled across Hell let Loose

What a game, fully gripped. Its a great balance of sim and arcade WW2 fps. The atmosphere & graphics are spot on, and as it's early access it improving all the time.

I'm not one for chatting online either but the squad play in this is fantastic. Some of the best gaming ive had in years, highly recommended!

I've been flip-flopping through a bunch of RPGs lately:

Arcanum
Wasteland 2
Crusader Kings III

I even started up a new character in Baldur's Gate II. I already sunk 45 hours into the first campaign, but decided to start fresh.

Yeah, it's a nice change to the usual fare for sure.

Do you have any tips, btw? I went detective for my starting class, but really don't understand all the systems and skills yet at all!
Make sure you validate any clues during conversations, the bonus points let you skill up quicker. I think there's advantages to each path but what I would advise is not to neglect politics or the occult...but don't listen to me...I just lost a hand!

Playing through max payne 3 again atm. Visuals still hold up really well with the right tweaks and the story is great. Nice and violent too. mmmmm.

Was playing Division2 a lot but took a break because it became quite stale, so bouncing around Fall Guys, Destiny2 and some Rogue Company

Recently got Xbox game pass so I gave Crusader Kings 3 a blast... It was a bit overwhelming so I quit for a time when I was ready to really sit down and give it a go.

Started The Outer Worlds and I am loving it. Such a fun game and I'm a bit annoyed I didn't get it when it released

About 30 hours in to Wasteland 3 now. This game is bloody brilliant! I wish it took a few more risks tbh in terms of gameplay and story, but overall it's just as great as I hoped it would be. Improves on 2 in every way.

Probably goes in at, no3 for Isometric RPGs for me behind BG2 and by far the best Divinity Original Sin 2.

Also have to say it is a technical mess unfortunately. I've not encountered many bugs and nothing game breaking but it is a bit ropey, and there are a few encounters that need tweaking.

I just can't drag myself away from 7 Days to Die - I remember the first time I tried it years ago and thought it was absolutely awful - since then I've figured out a way to host my own server and 5 or 6 of us jump in and out of it at will with us all working together!

Absolutely cracking game - not the prettiest and it's certainly not going to win any awards for it's collision detection but there is just something about it - I just wish there was more of an "endgame" to work towards other than just defending yourself and your bases from an ever increasingly agitated zombie horde! :D

I am playing Civ4 Colonization, mainly as my 290x blew up and I had to resort to the cobwebbed geforce 8800 in my junk box.

It's turned out to be pretty good. I'm planning to try the "We the people" mod once I have the hang of it- which looks excellent.

You should absolutely spend the time to learn the game. Once you've mastered the basics, the hours will melt away. Have you ever played a Paradox game before?

I did start a campaign with a friend on Stelaris. I found that a bit less confusing. I'm a newbie to that genre though and I like instant gratification! If I don't get it, i blame the game!

Definitely going to give it another go though as I can see how much fun it could be. But it is quite overwhelming.
