NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Hehe no 3080 for me. Shambles had one in basket and one in basket at another retailer both sites went down and couldn’t finalise.

now FE cards I’m calling ******** they ever had them in stock!!!

Nvidia site remained as 'Notify Me' before showing out of stock. OCUK and a competitor site wouldn't even load...

May turn out to be a good thing if it doesn't turn out to perform well in sandwich-style ITX cases

How can people claim that there was no stock, just because they saw it move from Notify to OOS in one refresh? There was stock, you just happened to not refresh in that 5 second window where it was possible to get one.

Stock levels not keeping up with massive demand? Sure, absolutely. But 'scam'?

There is a mentality they cut into, its all structured to create a frenzy. They know if there are endless supplies of a product , people will hesitate, think twice, decide to sleep on it. But if they hold back stock, make it seem that, if you dont get one now as there thin on the ground, you won't get one at all, all those doubters gotta have on. It creats impulse buying, and its infectious. Sony did it yesterday, retailers did it today. Its a retail game, and we as consumers are the ones to blame. I lost interest at 9 am, and went and ordered some VIRPIL goodies, so i'll get a 3080....someday.

Supply seems a bit of a joke then. Glad I'm not after a 3080.

Suspect it'll be the same story with the 3070.

Waiting for the ti versions is probably the way forward...
