I was lucky enough to actually get a pre-order from one of the Wario64 affiliate links on his twitter page. I hope other folks here had success too.

To be honest the only launch title I'm interested in is probably Demon's Souls, although I am curious about Destruction All-Stars but need information on it. Definitely looking forward to Gran Turismo 7 and Horizon 2. At least If anything most of my PS4 library should be usable on my PS5 to hold me over until the PS5 library grows a bit.

Everyone forgetting AC Valhalla or nobody bothered? :D

Well If I can get my hands on an RTX 3080, I'll probably be saving that for my PC. I typically only buy console titles for platform specific exclusives. Never did me wrong spreading my library out, of course there is some exceptions and outlier cases.

For example, I never anticipated that Horizon: Zero Dawn would ever get a PC release. Of course I only see this as a good thing. More platform releases means more people get to enjoy the game.

Shopto are allowing you to confirm your registered interest as a pre-order up the the 24/09. That still doesn't allocate any stock to anyone, I'm hoping that they'll allocate stock by date of first registered interest.

They confirmed to me on Twitter that its by when you first registered interest not when you press the convert button. So anyone who registered interest is in front of people who just went on yesterday morning and pressed pre-order.

I registered interest on 16th March so am hoping I get one unless we get X360 levels of stock again...

So why are people on here getting multiple systems? Looking for scalping opportunities?

I didn't get one but it irritates me that every time something comes out scalpers strike you can guarantee there will be thousands on eBay probably already at double markup or latest day after release.

I got two - one from ShopTo and one from Amazon. One is for me (and my 4 sons) and one I'm getting for my elderly dad who still enjoys a bit of gaming and has really got into racing games - got himself a rig, wheel and pedals plus PSVR!

I pre-ordered 3. 2 online and one at a GAME shop. I only NEED 1 for my son's Christmas but the other 2 now look to be going to his friends parents that missed out on getting a pre-order in. I WWILL NOT be making any monies on those.

Yeah any one saying there isn't enough games for launch clearly hasn't looked! That goes for Sony and Microsoft.

There may not be anything that interests people but thats different

Looks like I blew my chance getting a pre order, was planning on Argos as last resort but by the time I finished my night shift they where sold out.
The pre order process has been a shambles it looks like Sony gave no instructions to retailers and they chose their own times, Game was virtually after the reveal finished, Amazon and others 9am next morning and now Argos today.
Looks like I will flip my original plan on getting ps5 first then xbox, will pre order xbox instead on Tuesday and get PS5 later on....tbh I think xbox game pass offers better value atm compared to £70 per game ps5

As much as Microsoft have given dates and time what makes you think that will be easier to obtain? If anything it will be worse due to them giving exact date and time as every retailer now will get bombed at the same time, Just looked at how crap the launch was for the 3080 GPU as they said "every one its live from 14:00" 8/10 retailers site just failed OcUK included.

In a way as Sony didnt give any exact date and time it mean most people checked different times/day so probably created less loads on websites to give people a chance to actually go through the check out

Shoe on the other foot though, surely this gives retailers time to add additional (temporary) resources to their infrastructure to cope with the expected demand? e.g add another few servers to their Data Centers etc..

They may do that but that would cost the retailer more money to some degree so is be surprised

Think the PS5 version is out on December 31st (according to the Amazon page for it)

EDIT

Me and my work mate got ours on Amazon yesterday at bang on 9:03 when the page went live.

That is a holding date from when the release of the PS5 was unknown.
It seems highly unlikely it will release on a different date to the Series X version.
