NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Tbf I think half the people who ordered were from the UK haha
Probably:p I've still got an order with overclockers for the gigabyte gaming oc.

If this one does get delivered it'll be nearly £100 cheaper after the price ramped up and didn't get in the queue until about 5pm Thursday.

I done my research on the zotac and understand it won't overclock as well and perform slightly under the Fe model but I'll live with that.

Been wanting an upgrade not so much for 4k but for vr performance with more fps from my 1080ti Fe.

Waiting until it dispatches and hoping I can get the 1080ti on eBay before Mondays out for the £1 listing promo.

A lot of people assuming these aftermarkets 3080's will run hot were wrong sat there playing need for speed max settings 4k at 45c on my palit.

Yeah I have been playing at 4k 60hz on my qled but been using the samsungs game motion plus set to 5/5 so still refreshing it at 120hz.

Need for speed looks amazing at 4k max settings, didn't realize how much better 4k looked until playing it for 10 mins then going back to 1440p.

Anyone managed to get a Ventus 10gb MSI 3080 yet? Apparently there is not much overclocking headroom, just hope it's not a lemon 3080 like the Zotac evidently are

I've got one on order too, few videos here:

Difficult to get any valuable impressions without seeing it in standard conditions compared with the FE etc, but it doesn't seem to stand out in any meaningful way and the power limit is supposedly bios locked to 320 compared with 370 on FE.

I'm right there. Currently running 1440p at 120hz and i can FEEL the difference so much compared to 4k@60hz. The FPS right now is more important for games I'm playing, but I really cant wait to be surrounded in both. I hate scalpers, but i swear its getting harder to resist, but ill stay strong.

I love Palit. Every single one I have owned may have been ugly as sin but they have all being top overclockers.

I actually replaced the terribly ugly cheap looking palit dual 1080 so this was massive visual upgrade.

The palit dual 1080 made me not want to look inside my pc it so ugly.

Yeah, the Zotac is approximately 4% slower, but it's a small trade off imo.

If you can live without a card for a while, get the 1080ti on eBay, as I can't imagine the Zotac will be dispatched by then.

Price / performance wise it was pretty terrible. The fastest card at the time, sure, but not massively and at £1200 a bit of a joke.

I paid under a grand, have had a year and a half of great frame rates at 4K, and still have a competitive card. At 33% faster than the nearest other card on the market it was a pretty big difference. I'm still amazed at all these people who haven't owned one being disappointed on behalf of those of us that do.

I did play some need for speed at max settings 1440p 120hz with +125% on the resolution scale and it ran really well and looked well better than standard 1440p and didn't drop the frame rate much going the extra 25%.

To me it seem these new 3080's don't seem to mind going up on resolution as much as older cards.
