Who's waiting for the 3090 and which brand are you getting?

Ahhh it could be, I thought I read somewhere that is was 340, could be my mistake though. I had a quick google and found this about the 3080 trio
In the case of the Gaming X Trio, the power limit is set to 340 W (vs. 320 W on FE)

You are right, it was 340W on the 3080 which is disappointing as the Asus Strix was 370W.

Any of the low level reference boards (and hence cheap) are two pin.

The high end gigabyte, msi, asus, evga etc are 3 pin.

While true, anyone considering buying one if it performs less than 30% better than a 3080 has sense in limited supply. Its almost double the price for barely any more performance. Price to performance will be truly terrible.

It’s more than double the price. 2x3080=1300, 1x3090=1400...
 
I want the FE, but the Strix is my second choice. Not 100% decided I'll even try and get one today though, the timing today sucks for me so I may well just leave it a couple of weeks and then try.
 
So woke up this morning to a random refund for a flight I was supposed to take back in March. Had initially written the flight off and didn't think I'll ever see the money again.
A sign I should perhaps try and go for a 3090? :p

May try for a MSI X Trio or Ventus.
 
Price / performance on these is truly terrible. Its actually a worse purchase than a 2080ti was back in the day :p

I guess people will buy them purely because they can't buy a 3080 though.

I don't want to hear any whining from people when the next gen comes out and these are worth about £300 ;)
