Who's waiting for the 3090 and which brand are you getting?

We had more, hope forum members manage to bag one of those.

it would be super awesome if you could invest some of that bed of money you are sitting on with pre-orders into an Ecommerce specialist to bring your website out of 1999.

maybe, being a tech website selling tech, look at AWS and scalability.

we have 3 or 4 big launches coming this year, arguably bigger than this. Your website falls over the second anyone breathes at it, making it a lottery and nothing more.

Downtime is lost business to your rivals who have upped there ability to scale.

sounds harsh but those that were loyal to you as customers have potentially lost out due to said loyalty and prioritizing your site when looking.

that experience makes people look elsewhere. Worth bearing in mind :)

Ordered my Asus GeForce RTX 3090 TUF Gaming at 14:01:26 so I'm hopeful

In my haste I had no idea that the order was accepted as I got on at 13:57 had it on my wishlist went into basket all the way to checkout and the site obviously pooped itself so I had no idea how many times I clicked checkout but atleast 1 went through at that time.

anyone know how popular palit are, managed to get my order in a 14:00 and know they had some instock but not sure if iv missed them buy a mile and its gonna be a long wait or if i'm near the front

3 different browsers (Firefox, I.E, Edge) on pc and google chrome on tablet and all would get stuck at checkout... I added the card over 15 times in the end before it said out of stock... I think we are getting trolled by NVIDIA.. this time they didn't do the straight away out of stock like they did with the 3080, this time they thought hey lets play with them and not let them check out to make it look like we had some and not make the same mistake as the 3080... It's such a bad joke considering we are giving them £1.4k and that's how they behave. Did anyone's order go threw here at the NVIDIA site for the 3090 FE ?

I'm not paying the gouging rates on any site, so all gouging will not see my money. I'm tired of being ripped off and I will never pay over MSRP again for any PC item. I'm just going to wait now to see what AMD has on offer or wait for the 3090 FE to come back in stock or wait for the 3080 20GB or Ti or Super or whatever they decide to call the card that won't be in stock again and only pay MSRP, they can go to hell really £1.4k+ is not peanuts and if they don't want our custom at MSRP I'm sure other places will offer it, I see one place still has all cards at MSRP just they are honest and have no stock yet and they are on the high street.

Nice review on the gaming OC if anyone pulled the trigger

Boosts slightly higher then MSI but slightly lower average

Good luck to all those that ordered !

If 3080 did bring it to it's knees and 3090 not so much... 3070 should bring the house down !
I went for Gaming OC too. Not sure whether it was a good bet or not. This comparison between Gaming OC and the MSI isn't pretty, lol. https://www.eteknix.com/gigabyte-rtx-3090-gaming-oc-review/6/

Same happened to me mate, really annoying :/

Anyone know the expectation now?

As in, is there an indication of being one of the lucky ones?

Currently, the order is sitting in "Order received - not yet shipped".

Basically want to hold onto the order if I got lucky, but only ordered as understood they were in physical stock at the moment.

Whilst if not one of the lucky ones I'd rather reorder a model I preferred.

Thanks chaps!

oc3d has more details on what they test along with testing a few set ups of a game .

along with the fact core hardware is different. Gaming OC may have got the head room on OC3D due to 16 core being used

So how many did you manage to get?

I originally had a Zotac Trinity 3080 Ordered but reviews were worrying so I cancelled that and ordered the Zotac Amp 3080. Still waiting for the refund to come through from Amazon though.
Now I've snagged hopefully the 3090 I will cancel the Zotac Amp too.

Either way, my bank is down 2 3080s and a 3090 atm :(

To hell with all this pre-order malarkey. I went through this with a Strix 1080 back in '16. Waited 3 months till end July '16 for OCUK to have them back in stock for my May 27th pre-order and finally gave up and cancelled the Strix pre-order and ordered a Palit Super Jetstream which came mid August. In hindsight that was for the best anyway as my Palit was a great card and saved me over £100 and once plastidipped white made for an attractive but understated GPU as opposed to all the 'Moaaaar Angles and curves and RGB!!!!!' designs then which have only got worse with the 3000 series.

I'll be waiting now for Zen 3 and Rocket Lake and RDNA2 before checking back on the 3080/3090 situation and perhaps I may have a new VRPC built before Christmas if I am lucky.

Another appalling product launch from NVidia.

Sadly I could not get my hands on a 3090.

The good news is this gives me time to wait for the better non reference cards like the EVGA Kingpin.

@Gibbo Sorry for asking but was wondering if your palit stock was a few cards or more like single digits. Managed to get my order in at 14:00 but saw people getting orders in pre 14:00 so not sure if I was early enough to get any of the stock. Cheers for the work you doing on here.
