Anyone changing their mind after seeing the Gamers Nexus video?
Nope, I've been meaning to upgrade from my 1080ti for some time now. I've been saving specifically to do so for many months.
While yeah, the price to performance at 4K may not be the best the card IS. If I didn't spend the money on a 3090 it would have just ended up on a £400 turntable cartridge and/or something else expensive and wholly unimportant

I got to the checkout screen for the founders, stuck there for 20 mins, then it reset itself to out of stock.

I'm still looking at a 3090, but will probably wait until the end of Oct now.

Same happened here. Although I tried adding a little 2060 super in a seperate browser and the same issue with stuck at checking out. I think the bots killed the site.
 
So I managed to get an order in, then went off to read reviews, saw the stats were much closer to 10% over the 3080 rather than the 20% I was hoping for, filled out and sent cancellation form, then got an order shipped email...
I could send it back and order a 3080, but who knows when that might arrive.

so well pleased and proof they did have some! Tried OCUK but was just a nightmare as expected

Congrats - I didnt try and buy one at scan but I did look and saw the 5th October ETA and pre order only. Only because the OCUK forums even fell over again. Which one did you get?
 
I will when Asus let us know, the suppliers are not communicating much at all to be honest, when I hear it, then it gets posted in sticky at top of thread.

People need to be patient updates do not come every day let alone every hour or minute. :)

Thank you for letting us know. Hopefully Asus will not disappoint us.

I have watched most of the reviews and have put in the cancel request I had both the 3080 & the 3090 on order was hoping that the 3090 would have been better by a larger margin.

I have left the 3080 on back order as i'm really happy to spend the money for the performance.

Telling people to be patient when you have their money is never going to work out well, the onus is on OC to supply information in a timely and frequent manner, there almost seems to be a dismissive attitude towards paying customers when it comes to asking questions about the products they have paid for, why is that?

Also, what do you mean "the suppliers aren't communicating much at all" it's not their job to communicate with you is it? It's your job to communicate with them surely? Or are you saying they are not responding to your communications?

I really feel like it's time we all started getting a bit more transparency here, everything is very flakey and non-committal from what I am seeing, I have shopped with you guys for years and never seen the customer service this bad quite frankly.

OC are a customer of the suppliers. If you think OC should be communicating with you, then by the same token the suppliers should be communicating with OC

OC are purchasing products from the suppliers, their job as a business is to purchase that product to supply it, that means chasing suppliers for knowledge of the product and then extending that knowledge to their paying customers to keep them informed.

Other sites are currently doing just that, why are OC not doing the same?

I am not in the business of defending poor customer service, nobody is saying they want their cards right this second, customers are simply asking for more transparency and better communication about stock.

We have had better information about stock from twitter and PC Gamer that we have had from thr etailer we are purchasing from, better information of stock from a DIRECT competitor!

I am of the personal opinion, rightly or wrongly, that OC could and should be doing more.
 
Has anyone been able to find any reviews for the 3090 XC3? I managed to score one and checkout within seconds of it appearing "elsewhere" so I am pretty sure I am close to the front. Its currently expected 05Oct
In the meantime It looks like nobody has actually tested one as I cant find a review and it looks like even EVGA didnt sell any today. It must be behind in manufacturing or something but I am most interested in the thermals.
