Managed to pick up a preorder so I'm happy now, also got an Xbox Series X preordered but none of the launch games are getting me excited so I might cancel.

Demons souls is the reason I'm picking this up at launch and spiderman looks good (still haven't played the PS4 one though) and depending on reviews Assasins Creed and maybe COD too.

Copy them to a USB drive or join PS+ and upload to cloud.

I keep missing out. Both times on Game I got to the point of pressing pay after putting in credit card details etc only to be told they were now out of stock.
Couldn't even get into the Smyths website.

I tried twice - seems to be in stock but kicks out when you're at the point of paying with a message saying they are out of stock

I signed up to stock informer on discord. It tells you immediately when and where stock is available.

That's how I got the amazon order in this morning.

Just a thought. As ps5 games are so expensive I wonder if it's worth subscribing to boomerang rentals again. Think it was 9.99 a month to have one game of your choice or as low as 3.99 if you just had one game a month max.

Yikes, I remember them. Are they still going? I remember leaving after their security breach - must be a good 7 years ago now. That would be a good option that I hadn't even thought of.

Yeah I've not used them since PS3 era but I was a fan of it whilst I did.

I’m just about to cancel my preorder on Smyths. So depending how that works, you might see a PS5 pop up on there

Came very close to buying one of these today to go alongside the Series S, but then I had a bit of a moment thinking why bother rushing into it. I'll pick up a PS5 in the future no doubt, likely next year, but I think it's all very much a hype train that some people get sucked along with sometimes.

But then, console gaming has been second to PC gaming for a good few years for me now, so that's likely a big part of it. Thinking I'd be better dropping the £450 into a new GPU or something for now and picking up a PS5 once we get an OLED tv.

At least this launch was much cleaner than the RTX launches this month
