I haven't got a 30 series card so haven't experienced any problems myself. But it has been reported that some cards are more vulnerable to crashes or instabilities.

Apparently, the spec allows for cheaper POSCAPs or more expensive MLCCs. There appears to be a correlation between likelihood of problems and the choice of components. If you intend to preorder a 30 series card in the near future, it would be a good to watch a photo or teardown video of the PCB and check the power delivery configuration.

The spec seems to have been confused, if this is all accurate it looks like any of the cheaper cards with 6 POSCAPS not 5 + 1 MLCC are no good and likely to be down clocked via bios...

The shambles continues.

I just watched the JayZ Two Cents video on this, this launch has been an absolute mess.

I seriously feel sorry for the poor buggers that paid through the nose over MSRP for cards with these problems.

A small silver lining for those who haven't gotten an AIB card yet, for those who are still waiting for a preorder, they'll need to perhaps rethink it.

In the end this is NVIDIA's card/release, the buck stops with them, they're responsible for this rushed dumpster fire of a launch.

Good job people didn't rush to buy on day 1...

A lot of people are crashing due to boost clocks, it isn't just a case of users OC'ing.

It looks like some cards might not be built to proper specification.

I've had at least 3 Nvidia cards in the past which did that.
