Arrogance, hubris, and BAD management decisions from Jensen. Nvidia are so focused on profit and market share, on ruining things for AMD while protecting their 'crown', that they have lost sight of what really matters and allowed their standards, quality assurance and attention to detail slip. If they had not rushed this release and simply waited and prepared so that they had enough stock and a robust ordering system, if they had allowed AIB's to properly prepare for such a big launch, then much of this could have been avoided and their cards would still have sold by the bucketload.
After the highly criticized launch that was Turing, the reputational damage from this even more disastrous one, and the lack of goodwill in the minds of gamers may cause serious repercussions further down the line for Nvidia. All AMD have to do to gain much of that spare goodwill is to launch their cards on time with good performance, a reasonable price, in sufficient quantities and with a secure and transparent ordering system and they will gain a lot of ground this gen both in market and mind share and in positive press coverage
