Well after much thinking over the weekend - I've cancelled my ASUS TUF non OC order this morning. I've decided to drop down to the 3080 and order the new LG 4k 27GN950-B monitor as well. Going with the gigabyte Aorus Xtreme 3080 model which realistically will do for my needs - I use Davinci Resolve 16 a lot but I am only doing 4k video projects and some adobe work so I'll be OK with a drop down. The very helpful OC chap this morning confirmed to me about 1700 odd awaiting the ASUS TUF Non OC 3080 model with 700+ also waiting for the OC model. Good luck to everyone still queueing and I'll still follow the updates and owners thread to see happy installs!

I haven't search.

But is there a list on how many people have bought a ASUS 3090 Strix gaming.

Think of getting one from OCUK.
 
Given that the RTX3080 strix was 2 weeks delayed after launch I believe the 3090 will be the same. So the first peoplle to get a 3090 Strix will be around 8 October

I hope the wait is not to bad for you guys. TBH I don't really mind waiting a few months as Im converting mine to a EKWB as soon it arrives. So will be nice to see if anyone has any issues with theres. But i do have a 10900k laying dormant, waiting for the 3090. Its becoming more and more outdated with every passing day!! Nice job on the wee spreadsheet you have on the go.

I quizzed a guy on eBay who was selling a ROG Strix 3090 when he was getting it and he emailed me a scan of his order from Scan, which confirmed an estimated despatch date of 5th October. That seems to confirm that will be the day everyone is getting stock, so some of us at least should be getting our Strix cards on the 6th. Here's the exact wording from the scan:

I’ve had the same email from scan.

Taking it with a massive pinch of salt personally.

If their ETA’s for the 3300x I ordered back in august are anything to go by :D
 
I think that competitor will have a few angry people if their order is not shipped on that date in oct. For all the flack that OC are taking right now - if the stock flow is as tricky as people are making it out to be at least they are not locking in a date that may potentially slip.

I don't know what people expect from these cards. Since the 10xx series everything came down to the amazing silicon lottery, if you don't hard mode the card. Literally cap mods will give you an edge of 20-40 Mhz. A cleaner 12V PCI cables with capacitors (without daisy chain), will give you more or less the same result.

Mine said 25th September, even though their delivery calendar states they won't get their first batch until 30th at the earliest lol.

At least they’ve stopped taking orders.

From about 5 past 2 on the 24th you haven’t been able to order a 3090. Not even pre order knowing it will be months.

I’m hoping they restricted the orders to roughly what they expected to receive.

I might be in dreamland there though

My order email says the 25th....but I had an update email later that evening.

I presume that order status is only based on the fact the item was ordered with next day delivery.

The emails I got after that are like place holder emails where they forgot to fill in the details. I thought about querying it but there's likely no point, I either get one or I don't.

Also I must have ordered mine at around quarter past as I spent 15 minutes trying to get the OCUK website to work.
