• Competitor rules

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

it stated I was the 62nd purchaser in the last 24 hours. I wonder if they do actually have them in stock? I still haven't received a confirmation email.

When you have it in your hands tomorrow, you will be right and I will have been too cautious, but until then I am sceptical. Very truly has the worst reputation for selling stuff they don’t have. Good luck. I hope you get it as promised. I don’t have the balls to take the risk.

I bought several items from them and no issues at all. Looking at the order it says that the parcel is coming direct from manufacturer, very strange.

I’m going to close this thread and ban every single person that’s mentioned a competitor in the last 24hrs.

Stop it.

Message received and understood. Can I suggest, though, that perhaps a bit of common politeness wouldn’t go amiss? You are talking not only to customers here, but to customer who spend a LOT of money with OCUK. Not asking for the rules to be changed or anything of the sort. Just some common courtesy.

lol - uh oh. They are just getting excited with hype - they aren't taking business away from OcUK.
Well, they are.

Within 5 posts of yours I can see talk of buying from a competitor including people asking where they’ve bought from.

I don’t want to nuke accounts (accounts with less than 100 posts can be “spammed” and disappear entirely) but I will.

Spending money with OcUK has no bearing on how we policy the forums. We take action against any and all rule breaks.

Also, we spend our time doing the moderation in our own (unpaid) time. Seeing the number of posts we’ve deleted in this thread would give you an idea for the level of frustration we face.

I apologise for coming across as abrupt, but ultimately these are serious rule breaks on the forums.

If OcUK doesn't even have the common courtesy to give these guys an update regarding their orders or clarification on the queue jumping - but is happy to threaten and communicate potential account bans.... then more fool you OcUK. You don't need people to mention competitors to lose business and customers, it seems you are doing a pretty good job of that yourselves.

P.S - I didn't order a 3080 from you.

I don’t work for OcUK.

You agree to abide by the rules of the forum upon sign up. They pay for the upkeep of the servers and run the forums, so they can remove whatever this choose. They’ve chosen to prohibit talk of competitors for their own business interests, how they communicate with their customers is something different entirely.

Good luck with the card.

Fair enough. I can see that’d be frustrating.

I appreciate that - it's just feedback that should reach the owners. Although, I am sure they aware. The challenge you face is the influx in new members due to the unprecedented demand for this card. I tried to order from OcUK, but it just crashed. I ordered from a competitor the same day - still waiting :(

I can try raising it through the channels but ultimately you can also raise it in the customer service forum where the staff will see it :)
