*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

So this dr.kaii is position 383 as of 2/10/2020 for the Gigabyte NVIDIA RTX 3080 EAGLE OC.

@Gibbo This is not very fair.

It says in his desc "You are purchasing my position in the queue (383 as of 2/10/2020) for the order of this card from its retailer, purchased on September 17th at 15:18."

I would take this with a pinch of salt. There are a lot of people who have said customer service said xyz which have turned out to be incorrect or just fake. We will just have to wait and see. There was one guy on the ASUS DIY facebook group who stated that an un-named UK supplier had stated that they expected stock later next week. This was also the same for another EU suppliers posts but this was later updated and delayed with the supplier told they were awaiting materials. Obviously golden week will also effect this. It would be a shame is someone seen this and went ok best cancel my order for the stock to then come in earlier than nov/dec.

Im just stating what he said and he was 40th on the list for a card but he cannot wait that long hence why he cancelled his order.

Named and shamed well done I hope OCUK does somthing about them

Not wanting to be that guy..but what can OCUK do about it? The guys selling the cards have bought something fairly - it's not up to OCUK to police how they use their cards. If there is a fair market price to resell then that's the buyers prorogative to use with their singluar OCUK order.

The only think OCUk sould get involved with are people abusing the system to get multiple cards when a limit has been imposed. That's all.

Need a bot to bid them up.

I get what your saying its just frustrating when your waiting and 778 in the queue and you see people flipping them on ebay especially with all shenanigans we've been having with bots :(

The shop were made aware of these listings a few days ago. Some kind poster posted the same thing on Friday :p

Review for the strix hes shows a power limit for 450 watts
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWyjrD7qdME
Another review of strix that I see without a direct comparison to other 3080s. Coincidence? Don't think so. Don't really see anything to justify the 200-250 price premium over tuf version unless visuals because even cooling ain't a thing and who cares how much power draw it allows for overclocking if overclocking gives little to no benefit on 3080s

Disgusting ... get em out of here !!!
tbf i do not mind someone making a small profit £30 to £50 but over £300 :(

I also don't like these types of people, but they are entitled to do with their GPU whatever they want. BTW why would you bother in selling your card for £30 o 50£ above the price? is not like he is selling thousands of them. OCUK can't ban him or stop him from getting the card unless they have such restrictions in their tos.

100% agreed. 1 card it's up to you, getting 2+ and THEN scalping would be the cause of the drama.

Well Nvidia have just three short weeks to get their mess of a launch straight, or Big Navi will launch in the midst of thousands of customers worldwide still waiting for product. I can't imagine a company like Nvidia would allow this to happen and I fully expect they'll have the majority of these delays fixed just in time. At the present time most people haven't got an option to jump ship to, but they will have come October 28th

Actually, it's more like 6 weeks until they actually release their cards.

The guy literally said he doesn't have any other 3080's to compare it to, can't really blame him.

Fully agree with this, its really not worth the extra and I say this as someone who has a non-OC Strix on pre-order but don't want to cancel because I want to get my new build all together, up and running as soon as possible but still no release info on the non-OC variant.... if 3080's are in regular supply and I don't received the non-OC then I'll just cancel and grab whatever is in stock.

Actually it's more like 6 weeks until AMD cards will be available to purchase according to leaks.
