*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I think many sources are jumping the gun and saying that stock is coming only to then have to say it is delayed. Or there is what the manufacturer says which is a bit different to when the shops get it. I expect here (OCUK) we only hear when they have good confidence in it arriving.

All speculation, but it seems certainty and availability are in short supply.

Most are using Air Freight. I know ASUS are doing weekly air freight. They even specifically said DHL Air.
I would imagine most of them will be using AIR Freight. 30-40 days on a boat just won't cut it. I forget others I think MSI and one of other smaller GOU makers also said Air freight. Most will use this right now.

I bet that's a ASUS social media person saying that.

Cool setup:)
Tbf. I put loads of wink emojis in to my comment but they disappeared:) So meant it humourously.

Somehow I wish my wife was in to gaming:rolleyes:

Count yourself lucky. I used to think building 1 gaming rig was ludicrously expensive. Try maintianing 2! :D Actually 3 cos who doesn't have a VR rig in the living room these days!! ;)

The toys are far from the pram in here.

It's just a graphics card, this thread exposes so much entitlement it beggars belief.

I'm position 341 on the msi gaming trio. I think my order went through about 15.27. Hopefully I'll see it before Christmas :)

I know right? Proper first world problem we have here!

Yesterday evening I found out something which perhaps should have been obvious, but which hadn't occurred to me previous.

OCUK purchase and procurement is split into two seperate section, one where product is sourced from European or even UK operations of a manufacturer, and the other where they have bypassed any local supply and gone direct to the manufacturer and ordered product with them directly. So when I get EMails from Europe telling me I need to check with OCUK for ETA delivery times, and that they don't know, it's because the order is placed with the Chinese manufacturer in this case Inno3D. But there lies the problem, because unlike ordering from say Asus where they are in the dark, they should be in direct communication with the supplier and able to at least get some ballpark figure of when they are going to be receiving at least some supply.
The problem is then though, that OCUK will tell buyers they don't know when they are expecting to receive product, which is not credible as they are the sole importers! If they don't know then no one does.

I am asking myself the same question.

Last week I got a pointless message from OCUK about my queue position without any ETA's. It was as much use as a chocolate teapot to be honest.

I am committed to waiting this one out, but it doesn't mean I have to like it! :)
Im also committed to waiting it out as in 55th in the offical queue..I hate waiting and the not knowing

I kind of assumed that is what maybe going on, but how did you find out?
Would be nice to be made aware of what is happening with the stock replenishment plan, but I doubt gibbo will give us these details.

I found out when Inno Europe told me they didn't know and to contact OCUK as they were the only ones who did. I dawned on me then they were importing direct, and possibly the same goes for KFA, and others as well.

Well, there is that. Or everyone is passing the buck and no one wants to commit to saying anything at all. I had a similar response from MSI, but it was all very vague. It would be nice to have some kind of expectation and forward planning. Someone must know, but they don't like to provide customers with the info.

I'm also waiting on an inno3d card. Can't really seem to find anything about when they're shipping to the UK. I saw someone post earlier in the thread that inno3d have already dispatched some to the UK but can't find anything that supports this. Does anyone know where that info came from?

I wish I spent as much time playing games as I do loitering this thread!

Fingers crossed we get some idea of shipments this week to complement our queue positions.

Well said, happily waiting for a non oc Strix myself, perfectly happy gaming on my 2080 till then, not in a hurry. If I wanted a card ASAP I would’ve picked a less expensive and less well known card.
