Based on the spreadsheet with official queue positions, there are at least 8,608 orders in the queue for 3080's across the entire range of cards.

I don't quite understand it, as if they can't confirm when existing orders will be fulfilled, how do they know they will get enough stock in the future to fulfill pre-orders.

I guess they’ll get enough stock eventually. They haven’t put a date on when they promise to fulfill them by so it could be September next year
 
Any chance the 167 of you in front of me for a Aorus Xtreme card could get real mad and switch to a 3090 or maybe an EVGA or other card? .... Pretty please.... :D:p

Why are people mad about a company doing preorders?

Apple sells millions of iPhones every year... if you’re not in the first batch of lucky customers you could be waiting months without a new phone. This is particularly annoying if you’re paying £80 a month on the upgrade programme.

The fact that OcUK let you preorder at least guarantees you’ll have a card at some point. They’re not a finite supply... they won’t run out before getting to your order. It’ll just take longer to fulfil it.

Don’t want to preorder? You don’t have to.
 
Would be a good idea for each card on the site to tell you how many folk are "waiting" or have a "pre order" awaiting to be fulfilled - I ordered last night without knowledge of there being so many folk waiting

nothing looks good on the books till the transition is finished:) a preorder is not a final sale far from it.

Of course they will get enough stock in to cover all the preorders. Pre ordering now is only worthwhile to lock in a price you pay before price increases that are still going to happen when stores get stock in. It takes time for the larger shipments to come into uk Europe and USA 27-35 days by ship so stock will be a lot better in a few weeks when they do
 
Im not bothered where I am in the que etc, just would like to know whats happening with the ASUS Rog Strix cards? I have heard that they have not actually shipped any? Is this true?

I would 100% agree, if the money was placed as a hold like most places, but OCUK take full payment up front, so even at RRP, 8600 orders mean they have £5,590,000 sat in their account from 3080's :P

There was a confirmed shipment to a German retailer today. So I guess it’s just a matter of time before they come to the UK
 
Well, out of curiosity, I've been speaking my account managers through my work, at the various retailers and distributors about these cards.....and all of them are saying they don't expect to fulfil current preorders/orders on the system till some time into 2021....and that there have been some huge bulk order purchases (although they wouldn't go into detail on that)

Still going to keep my order on here....but what a farce ha....prob wont see my non-oc strix till next spring (que no. 288)

should have held of releasing these till next year and started producing them now.
