I'd rather have Sancho too, but it looks like we aren't getting him...

But were you ever?
Man UTD obviously made him a target, but for the entire summer have done nothing to actually make him a reality?

Same as Haaland. All we heard was Haaland to Man UTD and then it just didn't happen lol.

Yeah, Adrian makes a lot of mistakes but just like Lovren, it's not the mistakes that are the issue. Adrian simply can't play with his feet and he won't leave his goal line, those two weaknesses completely change the dynamics of our defence just like having Lovren bomb out of position to win a ball left a big gap in our defence.

If we don't sign a deputy to Alisson then surely we've got to try Kelleher?
It's about knowing your limitations. If Adrian accepts that he's not Xabi Alonso he wouldn't concern me 10% of what he does now. Yes he'll make more mistakes than Alisson will but his general goalkeeping hasn't been terrible when he's played and certainly no worse than a lot of other keepers let alone backup keepers. The issue with him is 100% when the ball is at his feet. Yes continue to pass the ball out of the back when it's safe to do so but don't sit on the ball until you're closed down or try to pass the ball about in your 6 yard box when the opposition are pressing - he's not good enough to do that and unless you're signing Ederson to be Alisson's understudy, no other keeper is.

Not really the same, Haaland was more like Reguilon where we didn't want a sell on clause/release clause.

It will be odd if Arsenal do pay up for Partey having not paid up for Aouar. Aouar long term looks a better player but also is the type of player they need more, imo anyway. Arsenal have looked reasonably solid in midfield since Xhaka came back into the side last season but what they do lack is a bit of creativity.

Absolutely we were in for him, Woodward just wouldn’t pay €120m upfront. I think he believed Dortmund would cave in. He’s usually wrong so not a surprise.

Looks like the Ousmane Dembele deal may have been revived, Koeman was on about it being contingent on them getting Depay.

Also mentions of Sarr from Watford, would be ok with that. Dembele a bit more interesting though.

I would rather have nothing. Getting mercs in the club is the last thing we need. Saying that we already have Cavani now and Pogba is arguably a Merc just he cannot find anyone to buy him.

I'd agree with this, Adrian has shown that he can be a good shot stopper, he was pretty decent for us in general last year, but he has to stop trying to be Allison, or alternatively the coaches need to stop coaching him in the same manner as Allison (if they are), he cant do the Allison way of playing and he needs to play to his own strengths not to Allisons.

Looks like Southampton will be getting Walcott on loan.

To think we sold Walcott and Bale within a year of each other for pretty much the same figure (£5m +addons I think), both with massive hype. How their career paths diverged from there :p
