*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

got my email saying im no3 for the x4 im still very sceptical of this card but i think given the climate with the stock of these cards ill be sticking with them until there is a vast amount out there to choose from. better performance of a 2080ti for less will do for now !!

I'm number 8 for the X4. In what way are you sceptical? I've seen some positive results about it, and it's probably the best looking card going.

It seems OCUK may be importing these cards directly from China, they had an ETA of 31st October, so they are still within their time window, although I do wish they would supply a little more info as to when the first ones might drop.

So you are saying OCUK have no idea what is turning up in there deliveries, seems a bit odd to me. So they open a palet and get a random number of random cards, I dont think so.
Im not going to pretend to know how their business work but what I do know is that every single one of the cards that have shipped out to customers have been flown in from china via air freight (most likely dont quote me on that). So a company like gigabyte for example can put 200 cards in a pallet as soon as they leave the factory and the same day be loaded on a plane, meanwhile they need to distribute these cards through UK retailers and the retailer might only know they have stock coming in when the plane is in the air, landing that same day and then maybe a day's truck drive away from retailer's warehouses. All of this is guess work. I have absolutely no clue how this entire industry works.

i think just the fact you cant find much info online anywhere about them very little on reddit too. although being 3rd in the line for the card makes me think that there must have already been some cards sent out ? i could process my payment for up to 20 minutes theres no way i was the 3rd person to process that.

reason i picked it was aestetics i like the 4th fan on the side think it sets it off

I would assume it works in the same way as most other retail. An order is put in, but it doesn't guarantee the products will be delivered. What turns up will be checked off and booked into stock.
It's very annoying for the retailer when you have customers who have ordered, but the stock doesn't arrive.
I used to be in retail management and I can assure you, it's just as stressful for OCUK as it is for us.

sorry whilst I agree with you got to say one thing. It maybe stressful for OCUK staff but at least they get paid for the stress :)

The only PALIT I care about is PALLET of ASUS STRIX OC cards with mine on it.

Nah kidding good good. Im happy to see that peeps are getting there cards. Im just enjoying reading thorough the forums its keeping me going.

Whatever you do don't contact ASUS customer series they are less than useless....

The non oc strix card are prob binned cards that didn't make the oc binning process, i assume they will work hand in had with each other

Well, the non oc cards have a lower boost than a TUF OC. Make of that what you will. Also ASUS have said that they are working on fulfilling OC orders first.

It's their business, it puts food on their families table.

For us, it's just a GPU, it is a luxury item that serves no purpose apart from entertainment.
