*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I sincerely hope that OC have more visibility on their expected deliveries than they're telling us. It seems from what little info we are getting that mostly they only know when stock is arriving that day or the next day.

From what I understand OC purchasing of RTX GPUs is split into two. Orders from EU UK distributors, and direct orders placed overseas. UK distributors have a number of cards ordered on a schedule which they are not keeping to and are informing OCUK as and when they receive product. I cannot blame any company for not telling customers until there is certainty, because there are any number of infantile idiots out there who cannot understand nor accept the difference between predicted / projected / expected deliveries and concrete real one, and if they are told 200 cards are expected and they don't materialise the toys will be thrown a great distance from the pram.

Direct orders from overseas sources are slightly different, shipped by DHL or other, not much apparantly arrives this way by container, more by pallet, and again there's no saying what ships will actually arrive, or whether customs decides to delay it.

The launch has undoubtedly been a shambles, and now Nvidia have the nerve to blame the customers, claiming it's not a supply issue its a demand issue! No it's not! If it were the big retailers would have had more than 100 cards to sell on launch day! As yet the following brands have yet to ship a single card to OCUK:

EVGA
Gigabyte
Inno 3d
KFA
Zotac (3 of the four card types)

If supply levels carry on the way they are, many will be lucky to see the card in 2022 let alone 2020 !

I've been wondering about whether PC builds with 3080s are being prioritised. Isn't it still a matter of order number? If we ordered those cards on the 17th and someone ordered a whole 3080 PC on the 18th, I doubt that this will be prioritised as it's a lower queue position. I might be completely wrong...

With regards to shipping confirmation emails, yes it is exciting/nerve wrecking. I have a feeling those are sent out after hours when everything has already been packed and shipped.

If it's not done by order number but builds first that's beyond the joke!...
I hope it's not tho

3? Small should mean more than that!
Well I'm really disappointed. Had really hoped after @Gibbo post yesterday that a small amount of TUF OC will be in today, I'd of got one shipped being 17th in queue. Seems no one has had one shipped out today. My concern is saying some are due in tomorrow. Bit not posting they didn't come in if this is what's happened. Really would like to know if some shipped.
I'd like to see posts from Gibbo saying they shipped some rather than saying some due in next day. Because they might not of come in and unless they have them in front of them I'd rather not know.

Luckily, Overclockers UK is one of the NVIDIA’s biggest partners which guarantees we will always be one of the very first companies to acquire stock in the UK.

So is this and out and out lie?

I've seen diddly-squat regarding Gigabyte stock coming into OC (one batch early on) - yet we're seeing others receive Gigabyte cards and start shipping from today. They aren't even expecting any at the same time as others.

It is weird that competitor states that they have received and shipped three different 3080 manufacturers today.

Aye, you got it. It's weasel words. Platitudes. It's like saying 'up to 75% off!' when one item in the store is 75% off and everything else is 5%. Or 0%. 0% off is up to 75% off. We all fell for it. Well, shucks.

My concern is too I've seen in 1 week 3 posts from Gibbo saying they got some TUF OC in but not one person has posted they got a shipping notification. I know not everyone is in here but still. And a small amount was due in today but people in queue 4, 7, 16,and me 17th in queue none of us got a shipping notification. One hasn't been sent out today. Getting a little concerned. Saying "some due in":means nothing if they didn't come in. I'd rather a post saying "a small amount of Asus TUF OC just came in" so I know they actually have them.

exactly. a quick note to say they came or they didn't in the thread would be great. where's the transparency. Have they come in and gone out in pre-builts? Some actual daily figures from gibbo would put a lot of minds as ease yet this seems too much trouble.

How are they an nvidia partner when a lot of their products are bought via a UK reseller and not direct from manufacturers. They have no buying power

or at least update to say they hadn't come in and are expected XX instead... a little communication goes a loooong way, and it's all we've been asking for since this began 3 weeks ago.
