*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Has anyone here on the OC forums actually come back to say they have received a card from OC yet?

All I see are people who are 7th, 9th, 16th, #44th (in my case), just staying still in the queue. These aren't huge numbers, yet no-one seems to be getting anywhere!

The queue positions were sent out end of last week, since then little or nothing has shipped so you wouldn't expect to see movement yet.

Before that, yes, people were reporting deliveries.

Just an FYI for anyone thinking about cancelling. I cancelled last Tuesday. Paid via Paypal, and as of right now I still haven't received the refund yet. It's just sitting as pending with Paypal. Not sure what the hold up is but it's been 8 days now.

I have waited over 8 days for a Paypal refund before. I am surprised that it has taken you this longs with a merchant like OCUK.

Wow, I can see Strix customers start to get pretty annoyed now (well more annoyed then they are already) It does beg the question where is the Overclockers stock? If they have had some have they been used for pre-builds? and if so, how can they justify to continue taking pre-orders for such cards if there is no plan to try and combat the already rather large queues buy actually sending out some cards.

I'm wondering this myself. I've seen posts from people who received them from competitors, with order times later than mine. Odd that OC seems to be the only one who got none.

The options for 3080/90s on the prebuilt pages now appear to have *Build Stock* appended next to them. Interestingly the ones showing build stock also appear to be the ones which have been mentioned in the updates that have been posted.

@EVH can you perhaps add to your feedback/suggestions that Gibbo differentiate between the cards 'due in' in terms of what is for stock/preorders and what is to be allocated to prebuilds?

That would mean that Gibbo's updates don't reflect the real quantities of stock they get, and that email queue updates aren't sent after every shipment as promised.

no one, OcUk or otherwise is going to reveal exact quantities of stock they receive. To do so would be handing information directly to commercial rivals in relation to how big a partner they are considered.

can we have proof? or is this ocuk elitist lecture
No you can't have proof, but it's not an elitist lecture. Someone quoted the above regarding biggest NVIDIA partner, and then directly used it to bash availability of ASUS products.

I honestly give up - a quick look at one of the "competitor" forums suggest that their stock situation is far worse, and they haven't even offered queue position emails yet.

The grass isn't necessarily greener.

no one knows how many cards have been sold in the UK so far, or how the stock was distributed.

Also, not everyone who ordered a card/or has received a card posts on a forum to say so - A good quantity of cards shipped by OcUK may be to people who have not got, or have no interest in signing up to the forums.

By all means get the pitchforks out for OcUK, but if you do you need to get them out at every other UK supplier, board partners, and even NVIDIA.

I was 4th in the queue for the Asus TUF OC and have just received a notification that it has been packed at 12:27 :) seems like it takes a couple of days for them to ship them out from when they actually receive stock .

I can't speak for PayPal but the one order I cancelled from this site was on debit card and I received the money back in my account to use less than 24 hours after the cancellation was confirmed.
Not sure if 3080 or 3090 cancels take longer - I assume PayPal also brings extra delay.

The buyers receiving their cards don't need to post, if someone does in fact receive their card but not post the people in line after theoretically get an email notifying them of their new position. As no-one has received such emails to my knowledge then one can assume nothing has been sent out.

Doesn't need to be exact quantities: Gibbo is already giving us "order of magnitude" updates by using the very low (<10), low (<50), moderate (<100) descriptors. To be just even with the shipments that one specific competitor is doing, all the updates from Gibbo would have to be at least "one descriptor up", or three times as frequent.

Yeah, NVidia has ****** up and still is ******* up, no one denies it. Some other competitors are doing worse than OC, true as well. But others are acting better, and in any case: if everyone else is doing something bad, still doesn't make it right. Or are we going to argue that if everyone were stealing then we couldn't blame a thief for doing it? OC can take responsibility for their own ineptitude.

Hi all

i dont want to get anyone's hopes up however I called Zotac today re the holo amp and they have confirmed these will be released and shipped on the 28th October. So i am guessing OC will then be in a position to ship to pre orders on the 29th/30th October.
