Hey guys, I've been on this for days now trying to find a good mix of bits for a gaming pc for my 12 year old nephew. We've all clubbed together to get him a pc he's wanted for ages. Really only plays fortnite and call of duty etc, doesn't need to be super powerful.

I can build the pc, just need the components.

I'd appreciate any help or input please. Thank you

Wow thank you for the quick replies. No kb mouse or monitor other people are going to buy him those, so just the base unit please.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £125.60 (includes shipping: £11.70)

£5 over budget will net you a 5yr warranty as opposed to 3yrs with this PSU. At £650 and current high prices you'll be cutting the corner somewhere. Even on the build right at the top you sacrifice 500gb of storage for a mere £35. Overclocker's prices aren't the best with the AMD 580 GPUs, but regardless it's a noticeable step down from the 1660 Super anyway. Depends how high the boy wants to go with settings at 1080p. With a 580 he'll be tweaking on new/current games a little bit to get a solid 60fps, the 1660 super will hit the 60fps mark with ease at near max settings. But even then the 1660 super doesn't give him the future proofing either, if wanting to max all settings all the time.

Case wise i built a Coolermaster Q300L for a friend and was quite impressed for the money despite some iffy reviews. Only comes with 1x extract fan though. You'd possibly need a 4 pin cable extension or 2 so they can go to the individual ports on the Mortar MB. That's how i would do it, front and top fans connected as variable speed, and the rear extract as constant.
