Just been reading a news update from videocardz that the rtx 3080s/ti is due to launch in December please let this be true this is the one I have been holding out for!!

If they go ahead and launch a superior version before some people even get the 3080 they already paid for...There should be rioting in the streets. I wont be happy with that so soon. If so why bother launching the 10gb version at all

Yeah it stinks because I think there's a ton of people who bought 3080 10GB cards who would have bought the 16/20GB version instead. Really low tier launch from Nvidia here.

This is frustrating as overclockers told me im looking at Nov/Dec to recieve my 3080...

If this is true and becomes official in the next few weeks my 3080 10gb will be cancelled. What a pain in the ***...

yeh that would be pretty bad but from a selfish point of view I need this card tomorrow

Its not as if it will be the same price as the 10GB card, its just another (theoretical right now) purchasing option for the consumer. For many, the added cost of the extra 10GB of VRAM will be either unaffordable or of no interest to them.

I'm not against the product in principle but if they cant even get their 10gb to customers who have paid and are waiting, they have absolutely no business doing another paper launch this side of the new year. It literally makes no business sense whatsoever. All they will do is cannibalise their own sales

Can I please urge everyong who has a 10GB ASUS TUF 3080 OC on order with a queue position below 166 to cancel ASAP.

10GB is not enough!

YOU MUST CANCEL!

:D

Surely Nvidia wouldn't be so cruel to all those ppl waiting on a normal 3080,but fingers crossed I want this bad boy ita the one I have been waiting for!!

id be uber ******. typical nvidia

tbh Ngreedia always do this, release a card and then punish all the early adopters by releaseing better shortly after - i totally fail to understand why they do this to their most loyal customers tbh
There is also no way on earth id buy an 8 or 10 GB card ever now

I've been holding off for the higher vram model, bring it on.

Yep me too the 20gb version will hit the sweet spot of exactly where I want to be should last me for a good 4 years!!

Yeah if money is no issue but some people wont have £1000 to drop on a graphics card so the £650 10GB is fine for them (when it gets back down to reasonable pricing)

In your dreams. 20GB is not going to make RT any faster, which is just about acceptable now. Bring on Hopper/RDNA3.

I wont be gaming at 4k for the next 4 years so this will be perfect for me. Then in about 4 years I'll look at a nice 4k monitor and card to compliment each other!
