Was going to buy the MSI x570 Tomahawk but just seen this board for the same price...

Anyone got it and would recommend?

Don't, I have one and I regret buying it.

Constantly having to reset cmos when tweaking, you even have to reset cmos for bios updates. It's not a switch either, it's the retro pins you have to bridge with a screwdriver.

The chipset fan is also audible when the system is idle, due to crappy design from Asus where the graphics card almost completely blocks the airflow.

Go with somebody else, Gigabyte maybe.

Just finished a build with this board. Would recommend!

Great looking board with just enough RGB. Nice layout and feature set. Home to a Ryzen 5 3600 atm but will be upgrading when Zen3 lands.

I was about to post the same thread!
Torn between the X570 Tomahawk, and the X570 Strix F.

I was all but decided last night in the Tomahawk, but have seen the Dragon led software is garbage. Aura sync seems to be better, plays nicer with others.

I prefer the look of the Strix slightly. But after seeing the Tomahawk being touted as the best for price, amazing VRMs, I just dont know!

What CPU are you going to use in it?

I'm also looking at the options. The X570 Thomahawk chipset fan is in a much better position compared to Strix chipset fan, which is right next to the GPU. I'd want that chipset to be as cool as possible in the hopes the fan won't often need to kick in and it be passively cooled. Thomahawk also looks like it has a beefier chipset heatsink, also to help this.

Ill be running 5900X, with a 3080 FTW Ultra, so triple slot I think, big regardless.

Seeing the stuff about the chipset fan on the Strix is steering me back to the Tomahawk. Although i dont have, nor care for a super quiet pc. I dont want it being hotter, and effecting things.
