*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Did anybody snag one of the zotacs that went up on a competitors site at midnight? they gave a november delivery date. Were all sold out again in like 10mins and i missed out...again lmao. Getting a 3080 is going be difficult for a while grrr.
I keep hearing about these after the fact. I try to use the stock informer site but find their notification system a bit unreliable..

Don’t give up. I found one 9am Tuesday this week, ordered and with DPD to me same day been in my newly built PC since Wednesday. Just hunt around on the stock drop days competitors are suggesting they are due and you will get lucky.

I agree - hunt around and you will find some in stock to arrive soon. I ordered my ASUS TUF OC late Tuesday night and it arrived this morning. Now happily sitting in my PC.

I suppose I lucked out as this is my 2nd delivery of a 3080. The Ventus I had originally kept crashing and was returned to the retailer originally for replacement but now a refund.

I also have a vertical mount bracket, but need the pci e ext. Few things that concern me, only two slots on the vertical so not sure if these cards would fit, however im on a ekwb extreme open loop so might decide to go down that route, bit overkill as i went for the msi trio.
I’ve got a 1080ti on mine at the minute. Water cooled, but even with air cooler there’s loads of room mate. Should be fine!!

I got an email back from a competitor and they said 4-5 weeks for 3080 Strix stock. Sucks.
What 4-5 week for strix + queue 500+ that’s mean mid of 2021 I will cancel this all this card is a f.....g joke my plan was spend some money on new monitor for this card but I think I will keep old card an old monitor that will be better option I think in this times is just better buy console that will stop you to chase this stupid parts for your rig

With the rate of people cancelling pre-orders and then the fresh wave of cancels at the end of the month when AMD announce their GPUs, the queue is moving well without any GPUs shipping!

Im just surprised with the amount of people that have a decent enough PSU and big enough case to buy the 3080 i have a thermaltake view 71 so no issues at all for size.

Still got an old Theramaltake Core x9 and a Corsair HX1000. If the 3080 was twice the length it would fit no problem. Would think that most will have at least a decent sized case with all the water cooling going on in this forum.

need all that power for the hundreds of fans. :D I have the same case with a 1000w.

Yes.... used to have 2 x 1080ti plus currently got an old Intel Extreme processor. Plus about 6 hard drives, water cooling and 6 fans. Still overkill but always good to be prepared ;) Only issue is they have a different power lead... more like a server plug, so no spares.

Q position is irrelevant if we carry on at this rate of "small orders". Still havent heard any medium to large orders taking place. Quite honestly its shocking the fact that such a large corporate like NVIDIA pull a stunt like this with consumers. I don't mind waiting if i hadn't paid for the item, however when a pre order takes the full balance in advance and makes us feel like we are asking too much for an update on whats going, its all a bit too much. Also pay attention to the NVidia STOCK! Clearly they have other items in the agenda that most of us are not considering why they are keeping silenced.

Nvidia has said they have a demand issue and not a supply issue, which is just pure bull ****, if they had a decent amount of cards then where are they

I have a gigabyte 3090 gaming occi want to trade for an evga xc3 tuf any type, pny xlr8 or msi ventus 3x

Any of the above 3090"s or 3080 equivalents

Its a case size thing , the gigabytez is awesome, just won't fit my h1

i had a email today lol, both of us 3rd

You are currently in position 3 for the PNY card. We have to politely ask customers to please not call or email just to ask for updated queue positions after being given their queue, especially if you've already received an email giving you a queue position, as it's just adding to the pressure on the phone lines and adding to the rapidly growing webnote queue.

Regards,

Nathan D

Just shows what a load of ******** it is

Just look at the specs for your case, it will tell you maximum size of GPU, with and without drive cage if removable.
Mine does so I imagine any decent Case Manufacturer would have same specs listed.

Fractal Define R5 GPU length 310mm with cage 440mm without.
