I would say that depends on the manufacturer and card model. I think if your queue position is below 200 you might have a chance before Christmas, but again that depends on the manufacturer and card model.

I'm not holding my breath but I reckon OC'ers will get 2000 cards between now and Xmas.

The problem is that they can only make so many and they're already cranking out what they can so i can't see a huge increase in numbers. More regular/consistant deliveries maybe the best we can hope for and of any increase i dread to think what OCUK will see. If people expected to clear those queues by nov/dec im sure they would be shouting it. As it is the silence makes me think its going to be much much longer. I really do hope i'm wrong though

What from what I've read they are currently increasing production but it'll take into early November for all those extra cards to start appearing in stores. I'm sure the reason a store like OC'ers is doing a full paid up front queue system is that it shows to the card suppliers that there is a guaranteed market and volume they need to supply and meet. After all this is all about Nvidea not anticipating this level of interest in the 3080, for various reasons I guess, so now they know the level of interest they can hopefully get their act together and do it sooner than some of the more pessimistic predictions I've heard here.
 
Some people will get the Rona vaccine before their 3080 turns up!

I like how the Nvidia subreddit is full of people's pictures of their 3080s when the chances are, if you're going to the Nvidia subreddit, the absolute last thing you want to see is pictures of people getting their 3080s.

I'm contemplating cancelling my Tuf (Non OC) given the complete lack of movement and jumping on a diffrent card any idea on cards with potentially shorter queues? Totally appreciate most aren't short.

Don't quote me on this, best double check etc but IIRC the Gigabyte Vision queue is shorter?

palit pny and trinity oc seem to have much shorter que currently and trinity oc did ship a fair amount not to long ago

Looking at lists from elsewhere the PNY and Palit cards do seem less popular, they don't look as good to be fair, also people had a bit of a panic about Zotac after the cap issues.
