*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I'm pretty much at the point now where I don't want the cards to come into stock. It's now getting far too close to the drops of other models - AMD, 20Gb rumours, TSMC variants of 3080, 3070 benchmarks. That being said, I fully expect much better availability over the next week or two.
Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. Thing is, do we want to start this torture all over again! :D

Morning, you can't stay away!...It's like an addiction :D Hope you're enjoying your new card.
Hey, it’s a great card , honestly. My mate is 17 in Palit OC queue so partly tracking for him and part coz I want to see the enthusiasts here get their cards with as little pain as possible.

I am a day 1 apple fan and tracking flights with our phones through Flight Radar24 and the likes is perfectly normal (yet to convince my wife!) so sitting here is a habit I have sorry.

You know... OCUK is behaving like a company that is going to fold and take all of our money with them. I mean why else would you continue to take back orders yet not order/deliver many to customers? Why else maintain almost total radio silence?

Sure they are drip feeding some SKU, but these were probably part of their pre-launch orders, not part of the stock they have ordered post launch based on actual orders?

I mean why else take peoples funds in full (not normal) for a 'pre order' instead of just doing a pre-auth on the funds and then taking the funds on actual despatch (which is actually normal behaviour)

I know this company is really old and been trading for a long time.

However this pandemic & recession does weird and wonderful things to finances.

I personally am starting to see warning signs. I mean there can only be so many explanations for a company to behave this way towards its customers.

I just hope i am wrong and we don't get left high and dry like when an airline/travel agent folds.

Wild conspiracy theory i know.

It is always wise to pay by credit card when purchasing online. That way you will get your money back if the company goes bust, among other protections.

+1
I remember on a visit to the bank the manager saying " if you pay by credit card is our money so in our interest to chase it if issues, if it's a debit card payment is your money so they're not interested"

Looking at the accounts of OCNEWCO Ltd the company which actually owns OCUK, they have net assets of close to £8 Million, although they do say the biggest threat to the company is liquidity. Last years accounts do not indicate a company likely to fail.

Surely it can only be the rainforest one. Only ones with full European coverage and the infrastructure? Love it to be Caseking for OC but can’t see that I’m afraid...

If I were another large company, I'd think twice about throwing my name into the hat for this until supply started to show that it's not as pathetic as it is now.

Yeah and no way would a online retailer in the pandemic selling computer stuff fail right now. Since the pandemic started only companies to flourish have been companies like this because everyone is stuck at home or working from home and need new computer stuff for online, work, video conferencing and much more. Look at the stocks of most of the retailers and they gone through the roof. They have all prospered thigh this pandemic well. So no way OCUK is going anywhere at the minute.

You need a new PSU.
I really shouldn’t, it’s less than a year old and it’s an EVGA 1000w G1+ and I’m using 2 cables from the PSU. Last night I did DDU again and reinstalled the drivers and no crashes so far so fingers crossed that’s sorted it.

Let's hope so , keep us updated :) fingers crossed. Edit ps I never did catch what card you got?

Cancelled my 3080 Eagle order, they are rarer than a dodo!! I was queue position 15.

Thats me one closer to the front of the line then. I'm really hoping all the Eagles are going to arrive at once. I've got a hunch a huge truck with approximately 3000 of them is going turn up at the Overlockers depot next week. Fingers crossed.

It seems like Msi gaming trios are the rarest of cards I haven’t seen any anywhere in a week or so
They sold most of their initial stock at twice the price. thats why. Now they've been caught things should get better
Omg you was 15 why you not wait another week?
15 or 1500. It makes no difference if OC are getting no stock. That said i'm expecting/hoping for a shedload of eagles to drop in the next couple of weeks. Hoping they put a load on a boat weeks ago and are just waiting for it to arrive..... maybe lol
