Will I need sag support? RTX 3080

I'm in the queue for a Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX 3080 and I'm wondering if (since these are chonky cards) that I'll need some kind of bracket or stand to support the GPU. I've tried looking around the internet but been pretty unsuccessful in finding an answer regarding 3080s that aren't FE. The 3080 isn't as large as the 3090 so maybe I won't need one at all.

Does anyone have this card and have noticed any sag? What about any other 3080 variants?

If I will need some kind of support does anyone have any recommendations on what kind to shop for? First time looking at supports and there seems to be many different types, I would just want something simplistic but effective, doesn't have to be fancy or anything.

The Palit I've ordered seems to come with one, so it's a safe bet. Personally I wouldn't go for anything exotic - just get something that screws into the top of your slot covers.

If I get a bracket as opposed to a stand don't I have to make sure its the right size since the cards are something weird like 2.9 slot. At least with a stand I could adjust it to whatever length I need it. Plus would make installing and removing it a whole lot easier.

I would say unless the card comes with some sort of bracket then you will need one if you dont want any sag. My old 2080 RTX also sagged so i would think the 3080 would too.

Is that literally screwed onto the motherboard? Plus its kind of supporting the wrong side as I imagines structurally you want the support on the outer side of the GPU since the socket is holding the mobo side in place, seems inefficient to increase support on that side. I don't think I can link to other retailer but there is a fairly cheap stand I found that has an adjustable ledge which seems like it might work very well. It wouldn't be very elegant just having a free standing rod inside the machine but its moderately thin and shouldn't affect airflow much while accomplishing the task of support. No screws would mean its super easy to install (and remove if its ultimately not needed). Just seems like the no fuss option at the expense of visual aesthetic which I don't really care about so not seeing a downside.

Having seen Jayz' vid yesterday, where his actual case was sagging... yes, you'll need some kind of support.
Personally I'd suggest a stand of some kind up the far end, rather than the type that fixes to the expansion slots, as that's just more stress around the same points.

The good news is that you can, of course, get RGB support stands!! :D
I recommend the Deepcool one...

Yeah it screws into the standoffs, so it should be stronger than something screwed into the pcie covers. Personally I'm going with both.

A stand would be a better option, assuming you don't have bottom fans.

The sag on my Vision OC wasn't that bad but thought I'd give it some support anyways.

Think I'm gonna grab a stand, I don't have bottom fans or a PSU shroud so stand should be able to firmly sit on the bottom of the chassis and support the gpu that way and I'll have complete freedom of movement as to where to position it
