1440p or 4k for gaming

4k=70fps
cpu=3950x
mainly play fps, what resolution and framrate would you say is best to play at out of the 2 choices. regards for feedback, to help me with my upgrade.

For FPS then 1440p...I play MW4 at 1440p at 100FPS max setting apart from rtx being off (20 fps hit for that)...will run at 4k about 50-60 FPS but its not nice.
