*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Once a week or so I come to this thread expecting to see some sort of positive update regarding my order, probably like everyone else, but every time I come here my hope dies just a little more. I've gone from "Hopefully I will get it in a few weeks" to "hopefully by the end of October" to now "hopefully this year". I ordered an MSI Gaming X at around 3:30 on release day, which means I am only 300 something in the queue for the card and I know is a lot closer than most others, but it's amazing how I try my best to get the card ASAP, thinking I got there in a decent time, then having to wait months to see any value for the money I spent. If any other places were taking orders I would cancel, but I'll just have to wait. This isn't any criticism towards OCUK or anyone, just simply need to vent.

Well im in position 848 (on last email) for my Asus RTX3080 Tuf OC i emailed Asus yesterday and got this responce.

Thank you for contacting ASUS Support.

My name is Arsen and I can appreciate your frustration whilst anticipating your graphic card to be shipped out.

I can only imagine how excited you must be given you are actually able to purchase one of those. Stock is actually depleted everywhere and lots of customers are actually asking where to buy it from and they are not even on the waiting list.

I am sure you are in contact with Overclockers and they will duly update you as soon your item is on its way. Unfortunately, we do not have information regarding stock availability with us in the call center. The retailer will be able to advise you accordingly as soon as an ETA is available.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

It is a little crappy that we dont even know how many card are being made daily or even how many are being shipped to the uk per week I was hoping to get my 3080 in time for Cyberpunk but I think ill be lucky to get it this year tbh unless Nvidia are holding them back due to the upcoming AMD big navi I guess my RTX 2080 will keep me going for now .

so this is coming up on the second week of there being no RTX 3080 gaming trio's delivered to overclockers uk, is there even any point in us waiting for our order seeing as there seems to be no communication to customers about when theres a delivery or you know an actual amount of cards in a delivery what is a "close to large shipment" in numbers? what is an OK shipment in numbers? and the most important part WHEN WILL THERE BE A SHIPMENT OF the 3080 MSI GAMING TRIO'S
I'm sure they know. What they don't know is how many pre-build orders they are going to take between now and then so dont want to promise stock that could be mislaid :p

At some point if you're in the queue you will get your card. When that will be we can only guess. Everybody's in the same boat. If you're far back in the queue i'd cancel and look elsewhere. A competitor is rumoured to be getting stock and putting on their site this thursday. Again its just a rumour so who knows but other etailers appear to have more stock movement than here from what we've seen AND if you snag one of their cards the queue will be none existent :)

Hopefully your queue will start moving. I ordered about the same time, but I'm nearly 500 places behind you... I should have switched while I had the chance! :D
Ah that sucks :( strange how people's queue positions seem so different when they ordered around similar times

Last Trios shipped 29th September, 30 then, none since. Last week there were 50ish Ventus, another MSI card. There are some 3090 Trios expected today, but nothing about 3080s has been mentioned. All the different makes are moving slow, Trios if anything have been marginally better than average. We seem to get about a days notice from Gibbo when they are expecting MSI stock, so hopefully he posts about it in the next few days, but notably *unnamed competitor* who have a list of when they are expecting shipments list their MSI shipments for this week, and two weeks ago, as being delayed till next week, so if that also effects OC or OC's distributor the 3090s might be all the MSI we see this week.

You luckly people who get shipment emails today, remember we'd love to know what your queue position was to try to guess how many in total shipped! And since I'm going to be out and about till mid-afternoon I'd love it if someone could try to keep track of the highest position to get an email and drop a link to the post in the comments on the recent shipments page of the queue spreadsheet! (I don't want to miss the highest number when this thread has twenty more pages to read through).

And a reminder to those of you who get a queue update email today/tomorrow (I'm hoping OC will be quicker about sending it out this time) it'd be awesome if when you do you could fill in another copy of the queue data form for the spreadsheet of queue positions.

Thanks for doing this, it's very interesting to see. Forum hero!

I'll post mine here once I receive it and also fill in the form! Didn't realise this was a thing

its just a **** take they should tell us roughly when they are expecting a shipment, no info is obnoxious and not a way to make me want to keep my order

Hi im 873 position
Imo we maybe get card next year march

My theory is nearly all of their cards are coming from distributors, rather than direct from the AIB, and that they basically only get told any useful details past "in the next two or three weeks" when the cards get to the distributor and start being split up to send to the etailers. If so they might be telling us as soon as they have firm info, its just that its a day before the stock gets to them. Seems a disorganised way to run a company/distrubution network, but honestly thats the only explantion I have for quite how terrible it has been.

Notably the competitor who has a shipment schedule we know have direct shipments with some AIBs that OCUK don't (EVGA), so maybe OCUK just need to start dealing directly with the AIBs rather than going through a third party.

Yeah, it's because the MSI Trio was listed as ETA 18th September at the time of purchase. It suckered me and a lot of others into believing the system was based on a live update. At the time, it was the most amount of preorders.
By the way, just to give you the heads up as you are new, you will be restricted to 15 posts in a 24 hour period.

There's only one reason they wouldn't be and thats because they don't have the pull or buying power they need to do that. There's obviously so many benefits dealing direct with AIBs not least the profit margin so it does make you sit back and think a bit.

Thanks, I'll try not to post too much until I get my queue update email

I ordered Palit GeForce RTX 3080 Gaming Pro 10GB GDDR6X PCI-Express Graphics Card and I got an email saying I was 7th in the queue. According to that spreadsheet people with bigger positions than me have got shipping emails. I still have nothing, what is going on

People have mentioned their suppliers in these threads and assuming they are correct, I hate to say it but two of those companies are incredibly incompetent having done business with them for years.

There are multi reasons: Nvidia have a dream amount, the AIB's have a large amount, the UK gets an ok amount, OCUK get a small amount and we get **** all! :p
