Hi, been console gamer all my life but looking to move into PC now. To put it mildly, despite trying to do some research online, it's easy to get lost in graphic cards/motherboards especially when going on forums and when people argue about whats better and i just get blinded by the back and forth etc.

got a budget of about £1000. I'd go over it if the benefits were worth it in the long run. I would like to assemble it as well even tho it's my first PC as both my kids have them and at some point upgrades are going to need to be done and i think it'd be handy to have a little idea about installing parts etc

Sorry to ramble on but can anyone recommend a spec for my budget please? i mostly play Call of Duty Warzone and Rocket League. Any help is appreciated

I already have a monitor ready to go which i use for console but is good enough to run a PC on

yeah i've seen a load of videos on youtube about building a PC. Seems easy enough to do or i would have just bought it pre built

Go for it, its great fun! First time is a little bit daunting when you see a pile of boxes stacked up just be methodical and don't rush. If its a purely gaming rig, see if you can get a deal on a 2070 super and accommodate mobo/cpu into remaining budget. It will be a wait for 3070/ Big Navi most likely. Don't ask me how long, been waiting a month now for 3080!
