RTX 2060 OC or ?

Atm the only 2 are 2060 and amd 5700 but it won’t be long till a 3600 or 6700 come out waiting on amd on the 28th might change the product stack in November and maybe even bring the prices down. 2070 might also be a good sale at the end of the month with store trying to get rid of the stock

what resolution is he planning to play at and what sort of games?
because 6 GB should be enough for 1080p and 1440p.
so a 2060 would be fine!

He resolution is the deciding factor really 1080, 1440 is no problem for a 2060, but not 4K
What monitor and pc setup does he have ?
Don’t consider advising him buying a new 2060 whatever you do - second hand only he would be wasting money buying a new old stock 2060
In honesty he might be wise to wait eight weeks or so because amd are about to release and a nvidia 3060 may well have appeared by then as well to consider

I wouldn't be buying a 2060 at the moment, unless it was a used bargain. Buyers remorse will be there once the new cards are announced in a few weeks.
