Yes I know this was stupid, but the return window on my 2080ti was closing.. Did I make the right call? I’m currently like 650 odd in the queue so I probably won’t see my card until next

Edit: I bought my 2080ti off Amazon in August, Amazon let me return it...

If you paid more than ~$500 for the 2080Ti, then getting your money back was the right call.

The 2080Ti was basically Nvidia scalping their own $700 card for over $1000...for years.

The 2080Ti's performance never warranted the rediculious price increase over the 1080Ti.

Now I’m having to run my old 1050ti in my PC

Sending you my thoughts and prayers for these difficult times...

On what premise did you return it? Assuming it wasn't faulty I don't see why whoever you purchased it from would accept that return.

Probably within the 14 day window in which case it was kinda daft to buy one new at that point in time. Good that you managed to return it IMO saved yourself a fortune and only another 2 weeks to wait before the GPU landscape starts changing a bit.

1080 Ti’s are great cards, basically a 2080/2080 Super without the ray tracing. I’m massively regretting selling mine but got a decent price so can’t complain to much.

This - the OP is totally no better than the scalpers, what a scabby ponce who simply scams a gpu for a couple of months and does a fake return, totally our of order
repulsive creature

Totally agree what kind of scum thinks it is acceptable to buy something from a business with no intention of keeping it, and then returns it when it no longer suits them, show a thoroughly spoilt selfish Brat

The return window closes as soon as you open the packaging. You can’t use a product and then return it and expect a refund (unless the product is faulty or not fit for purpose).

At least that’s how I’ve always understood the U.K. legislation

Amazon allows returns up to 30 days after receiving the package.
