Wow! You're gonna feel a huge bump from that processor!
That's what I'm looking forward to, I might have a longer wait than I thought though, its done well so far and runs all modern games so far ok, the 1080 has helped

just behind mewe will deffo have our cards when next batch arrives
There we are see, the Pep Master was right on.
Now all you need to do is not rip apart the box when you get it.
What will you be trying it out on first?
I’d suggest “no” for both. The cooler on both the TUF and the Strix are more than capable and quiet enough (you can also try undervolting for better thermals and noise, unless you plan on overclocking quite a bit), as for the PSU it’s more than enough. There are here man! Mine arrives tomorrow so you should have a confirmation also?
Indeedmy next dilemma is whether I should Watercool it. My 1080 and CPU is at the moment, just wondering whether it’s even worth it spending the extra cash and potentially voiding my warranty on the TUF. What do you think? Also worrying about whether it’s time to replace my 6 year old 850w Corsair Gold PSU
I haven’t got any recent games, contemplating buying control and doom eternal to mark the occasion to tide me over until 2077 arrives![]()

Yeah I’ve been worrying about rail health too. I have Corsair rm1000 not even a rm1000x a original yellow label from about 8-10 years ago I know it has enough power but worrying about the stability of the rails. As for the PSU, it’ll probably be fine, mines a Corsair AX1200 Gold myself, and that’s powering the 3090, a 5930k, 4 mechanical drives, two SATA SSD’s, one M.2 drive, 6 RGB fans, light strip, AIO cooler, lots of USB devices etc. I was more concerned with the health of the rails to give stable power to it when it spikes as it’s probably older than yours but it’s still going strong so far.

P.S: received an update for my GPU and now it appears I’m no: 16 (TUF OC).
Well these TUF cards and probably the Strix too are the coolest running 30 series cards going that I’ve seen so far from comparisons online, mines running in the 60’s and there’s a guy on YouTube who undervolted his that’s running in the 50’s. Depends how hard you want to overclock it I guess.

cheers mate."Hi there
Also an update to our queuing email system.
An update on queue position is sent after each delivery of that particular SKU.
We shall also send an email every Friday for all SKU queue positions to keep customers informed of their position."

Interesting the other place still isn’t taking orders even with a queue of zeroIt’s worrying how quick a competitor has taken down its 3090 backlog. I’m waiting for msi trio. Looks like stock is coming to OC at end of October. Which is great news. The other place has queue of zero.
4th in the MSI queue, so I’m next. But just feel comms from OC could be better so I can make an informed purchasing decision
Ive asked them about this and they said there would hold stock when they receive it but not put it up for sale until all the other pre orders are satisfied, which I find unbelievable.Interesting the other place still isn’t taking orders even with a queue of zero
Well i don't find this unbelievable, especially looking at these guidelines from AMD for their launch:Ive asked them about this and they said there would hold stock when they receive it but not put it up for sale until all the other pre orders are satisfied, which I find unbelievable.
Inventory-toe-Cart Allocation: Allocate inventory only when a customer submits an order or set a time limit on how long a customer can hold our product in their cart. Inform customers that purchases are not guaranteed until the order is submitted
