*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

the lack of non-OC TUF stock is utterly bewildering, ASUS are one of the biggest players in the AIB market, it was the card that they pushed to all the reviewers which suggested they wanted plenty of exposure for it, they have automated manufacturing facilities and being mostly based outside of china would've had the least disruption from golden week.

but still, absolutely nothing.

It was the OC version that was sent out to reviewers IIRC. I'm 230 in the TUF non-OC queue, so I do feel your pain.

Can someone explain to me why the hell it has been a month and not a single person has recieved a Twin X2 OC 3080 and the very first shipment they receive is only 20pcs!

Is this some sort of joke? 20pcs of a card that has had so much time to prepare and make and the first wave of cards you give are 20pcs! I am struggling to believe my eyes at the moment.

I placed an order on launch day only a few hours after release and I am position 33 in the queue, it seems like I won’t be getting my card til Christmas at this rate, I bought September and expecting October but now I am not even going to be expecting November!

Why did they give the iChill X3 50pcs? Why couldn’t they do the same for the Twin X2 OC?

I am beyond disappointed , if anyone has any suggestions please drop them below, I am lost on what to do right now, I wanted a card in October and at the very latest early November.

From the rumours you are lucky to be seeing the 20, as the rumours were Inno wouldn't even be producing them until mid October. People here with big name bottom of the range cards haven't got theirs either because - they claim there's more profit in the OC higher priced versions. If you'd chosen the slightly more expensive X3 you would probably be getting one soon, but that's hindsight for you.

This **** should be illegal. It's crazy that they're offering it for sale without actually producing them (Not OCUK, the card manufacturers)

This launch is the most shambolic thing I've ever seen, even with 2020 providing plenty of other examples of intense bungling.

I'm not far off just cancelling and giving up on the whole mess. Some things just aren't worth the effort.

I'm starting to feel like just not caring about whether I'll get a 3080 this year would be preferable to being invested because I have money down.

I reckon, there's maybe two more weeks left for me and if things aren't at least starting to move by then I'm gonna give up.

Why on earth would Nvidia release these things when there was no realistic prospect of having a reasonable supply? It looks as if there was only about 10 - 15,000 cards available at launch world wide, with no capacity to produce more in any meaningful volumes for another 2 - 3 months. That is pathetic. They shouldn't even call that a launch. Would it have killed their business to just launch in 2021 when there was enough supply to meet demand, because this mess is seriously killing my desire to ever buy another Nvidia product.

I really hope AMD can release a good product with healthy supply to knock Nvidia off the top spot. This kind of consumer unfriendly shambles is exactly what happens when a company has no real competition

I will wait until AMD to release their card and if Big Navi is as fast as they are claiming, I will cancel my Nvidia preorder and go for AMD

Yes it's hyperbole but a company with the expertise of Nvidia ought to be able to deploy some fairly accurate ML regression models

It would have been difficult given the influence the miners had on the sales of the GTX10xx series, covid lockdown, and the failure of the RTX20xx series to make any kind of accurate forecast. One of those times when using forums and listening to gamers would perhaps have given a better idea of what sales were going to be like.

Quadruple-digit TUF backlogger here reporting in for my daily dose of disappointment.

Well there is one thing...

I can't fault the consistency.
