*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

@Gibbo without too much accuracy, just a wild guess: for someone that is 54th in the queue for Gigabyte Gaming OC 3080, what are the chances of getting the card in the next week or two? Little? Ok? Large? Or do my chances fall into dream category (as in I can o ly dream of it lol). I'm not gonna take any answer as a definitive so even if you speculate here I don't mind.

P.S.: before anyone else says that he won't answer, let me have hope ;)
Gigaman already replied to this ask, im 44th, he said end of next week, with a larger shipment the week after that

So during the wait for the card I've managed to accumulate a fairly decent windfall of wonga, so im going to do a lion li build,
what do you guys think board and chip i should go with, accounting for possible pcie 4 support, but not essental. 3080 vision should be here.... when ever it gets here so yeah thoughts ?

Get a vision mobo too it will look sexy in a white case

Considering they've only sent 500 cards and had 1000 codes, I'm assuming they've all been allocated. The first people to order may still receive codes alongside their eventual shipped order.

Whether the codes are still valid by then is yet to be seen but that'd be a true telling point of the demand and nvidia's screwup, if they made more codes than they can fufill the orders for...
Yeah I get you, you know you royally screwed up when you have more limited promo codes that the actual product

I think the fact that ASUS only have the TUF, TUF OC and Strix OC listed on their US store is telling. I don't think I'll be getting my non-OC Strix anytime soon. Cheers Overclockers and ASUS for an absolutely ***** customer experience.

Thats a big RIP. Im just happy the non-oc TUF is listed as an actual product. Now I just need to find someone who has seen one in the flesh

if at least 44 next week and a larger the week after that, souns like i got a pretty good shot in november being in 122. sounds like i only have a few more weeks to be on the hunt for a card elsewhere. nice

Crikey so I can expect mine roughly sometime before the heat death of the universe if I'm at number 986
