Nah, off-piste philosophising about invented ways of classifying men is not about GPUs. Lets keep on topic.
I'm hoping cancellations have ramped up in the last week because if people have moved even less this week there will be *rage*.

I’m in for MSI, but if I don’t see some movement in the queue this week or next , gonna cancel and buy a i9 10900k with a sweet MB and some lightening drives and ram. Just have to make the 2080super last another year:o:o

Did a build last month for a friend - i9 10850 with Samsung 970 Evo Plus. It’s insane and i want one. Loaded win10 from usb drive in a blink. I mean it was like less than 2 minutes. Perhaps more to life than sitting waiting for GPUs.

I'm not pointing the finger at Overclockers for this shambles, Nvidia are the ones at fault here. Do you really believe they were taken by surprise for the huge demand for a card which has almost 2X the performance of say the 2070 for a similar price point, utter Bo**ocks. Best of luck to you all waiting patiently or impatiently for your cards, I'll stick with my 1080 for now and pick something in the New Year when hopefully there will be availability. May go the AMD route as I'm gaming at 1440p, in the meantime my money will be back in my account until product becomes available. An old saying springs to mind here, it starts "A fool and his Money............"

That's fair, I don't really see the point in anyone ordering onto the end of the longer pre-order queues at this point. It'll be much faster to just wait and jump on what comes available in the next month or so.
 
I see them 3070s will fly off shelves even faster than 3080.

At this point I'd accept a click-and-collect from a corner shop in Taiwan.

I'm testing this cheap external storage drive picked up few days ago to use for FAN EDIT MOVIES upscaled movies and stuff im not bothered to re re re download to watch
@Illuminist How are You killing time when waiting for card.

7200rpm in that closed case 1 hour of watching movie covered in pillows for worst case scenario. For 60 quid delivered id says its fantastic value read and write peaks at 165mb/s when empty and when filed with 2tb of data drops to 135 give or take.

I'll be putting an order in for the 3070, 6900 and the 6800 and keeping whichever i have success in buying and cancelling the others, sick of waiting. Had my first PC built ready and waiting for a GPU for months now.
