Hey Guys, I have never had a good card before, best I've had was the 1070, so today to keep me going while I wait my 2080TI arrived I have been in VR most of the afternoon, tell me is it normal for the fans to be going full bore most of the time?

Tuf non o.c is easily the most pre ordered card and was the MSRP initially and represented a good deal. They shipped some and as far as we can tell none have shipped globally in five weeks. More orders equals more rage
Because they've gone fully Incognito since launch, and Asus only seem interested in shipping OC labelled cards.
The Strix non OC is definitely disappeared and some Asus reps have said as much, I believe. But that doesn't mean anything great for getting a TUF before they've soaked up the market willing to pay the OC markup.

You're joking right? It's been over a month since a single TUF non-OC and almost that much to the OCs too. I ordered 16 mins after launch and I'm still here 6 weeks later waiting lol
Strix non OC isn't sending either, both are in a bad spot, it's not a contest lol

Must have been a cancellation for the Tuf OC as I moved up one place to 97... order time was about 10pm...... passed the peeved period and just in the it’ll turf up sometime zone...
Oddly enough I’m still running a pair of 970 striks and they can cope with MSFS 2020 at highish levels.

run a vive pro on an msi 1080 gaming x and it runs fine maxed-out with no fan increase.

bit of a shame, oc seemed to pay some attention to peoples concerns and even came on the forum to answer questions and provide updates. Sadly since then they seem to have gone into radio silence mode again. I really don’t think they get how annoyed some people are. if you are one of the laid back ones, who constantly berate the others who ask questions that’s fine, you can ignore any updates, you don’t have to read them. For the rest of us radio silence doesn’t seem a great way to run a business.
Would be bottlenecked more so at 1080p and 1440
