*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Seems following the cancellation of the 16GB & 20GB 3070 & 3080 cards, Nvidia is working on something which might be a 3070 Ti It would seem an odd choice as the card would slot between the 3070 at around £500 and the 3080 at £720 a £600 price point ?

The Mobile RTX30xx has also leaked:

mobile cards?

So what, after they make 5 laptops they start saying "Low stocks" again ?

ye god damn scalpers all they do is sit there on F5 thats why i hate how nv runs store no idea when card lands it total random. so far we had 5.40xxxxxx AM then we had some at 13.20 and 11pm xxxxxxx SATURDAY. No normal person can get any of em....

When was it on the saturday?

And this is what is worrying me. Why they not clearly say that : you can wait for months or years to get one or we will offer you swap for different card.
IT WAS SAID ON GOD DAMN 18th SEPTEMBER All of us ware told so by Gibbo.
Nothing will change till December.

“We totally understand our customers’ point of view but at same time, it is upsetting to see anger vented at ourselves when we do not control the launch date or the manufacturing.”

but you could turn off the pre-order button on YOUR website until you have sufficient stock. You probably should also not have stated delivery the next day when we placed the order.

can we please have another update rather than reverting to radio silence?

Why would they turn off the pre-order button? Just let the consumer know there's a long wait, and if they want to get in line, let them.

This seems like a much better consumer experience than having to come back and manually check if there's stock every day.

I'm in the exact same situation, except I've slowly moved forwards in the queue from 53 to 43. Absolutely bizarre that OCUK haven't ever got any deliveries for this card. I still have faith that I'll get it before the end of November, though.

Yeah its just odd, I know competitors have had non-oc Zotac stock in, so why haven't OC?!

I imagine he will be getting updates today which he will pass on at some point.
I also remain hopeful @Gibbo has turned a corner and a more birth to grave approach of communications is starting to become best practice like competitors seem to be managing..... I know he is a busy man trying to get his hands on those lesser spotted 3080s though.

yeah, so now you can wait for your pre-ordered card and keep checking competitors websites for stock lol... what a great customer experience :p

What's the ideal scenario for you? Having no company taking pre-orders and everyone racing to buy a card when/if they come in...?

Sounds like a nightmare, isn't this the problem people had with Nvidia not accepting pre-orders for the FE

Totally agree, absolute madness why those times would be chosen....makes no sense, at least if was all in business hours we'd have a fighting chance.

every UK supplier is getting them in dribs and drabs, numbers seem similiar across two or three competitors. Its not really OC fault they seem to have the biggest amount outstanding so i guess the longest queue if every supplier is getting the same amount. Seems around 120 MSI trio's per supplier have come in over the past two weeks. That only totals 480 odd cards. It does seem they all are expecting a largish shipments 28th/29th October... That may only be 100 for each supplier. The one thing that does annoy me is that the process of supplying these GPU's is they (The manufacturers) feel it fair to send equal amounts out but people have paid for their cards and one supplier could have 1500 orders and another supplier 200 orders. Obviously one is going to have surplus over the other at some point. Not a fair process for those loyal enough to sit in the preorder queue.

Well, the ideal scenario is seling only the card that are available...if they are not, simply don't take people's hard earned money. People who ordered and still wait for god knows how long still going to be racing anywhere to try and get ANY 3080 quicker really.

That is the claim on the OCUK email "We are working hard with NVIDIA and the graphics card manufacturers to secure stock based on the number of paid pre orders we have received. " However those orders were received by all companies in equal volumes on the day of launch, and they closed their pre order facilities. Two ways of looking at it however.
